The streets were dark, as always, but still White snuck around corners and held close to walls. Black was planning something, he was sure of it. Why else would the dark spy be so intviting? Certainly his rival had not completely changed his view on life since coming here.

The gun under his coat dug into his rib cage, reminding him he wasn't alone in this litte foray. No doubt Black would also be armed. He had said "civilly" but how long would that last? Would it even begin? Traps aren't exactly civil and White felt sure he was walking toward one.

Pausing momentarily across the street from Black's new home, he scanned the dwelling. The dark spy's shadow could be seeing pacing from the window. "Nervous?" White thought aloud. Quitely, he snuck around to the back of the house and slipped into the bedroom window.

An almost inaudible noise caught Black's attention, tearing him from his thoughts. Instinctively he drew his gun and headed toward the origin of the sound. He aimed with an educated guess at where the intruder might be as he opened the door.

The white suit stood out in the otherwise dingy and dark room. "White. You could have just used the front door, you know." He huffed as he lowered his weapon, but he didn't put it away, not yet.

White had drawn his gun as soon as he heard Black's approach from the hall. It was nice to see the familiar scene: the two of them pointing loaded weapons at one another. Black had lowered his weapon, White did not. He also made note that Black did not holster his gun. Crafty devil.

"Front door? That is a truly amature mistake. It's likely wired with explosives. I've fallen for that one only once before." White shifted his weight while keeping his gun on Black's heart. "I thought you said we were going to be civil and already you've turned a gun on me. I told you what would happen should this be a trick."

White looked magnificent in all his annoyance with his gun trained on Black. Black made sure to take note of the sight before him. But now was no time to comment on such things. White felt threatened and that had not been his intent.

Black holstered his gun slowly so as not to look as though he were about to try something. He also held his hands up for a second as a show of submission. He knew what White was aiming at just as he knew he'd be dead in seconds if he tried anything.

"Calm down. I thought you were an intruder or something. Put your gun away."

Black's head dropped, eyes back on the floor. His fingers were numb, what an odd feeling. He heard White's question, it only took a matter of minutes to formulate an answer.

"I regret the way that went down. I should never have... I should have just..." Even now he couldn't bring himself to express his true feelings for the man in front of him. Any emotion other than anger was a weakness and he couldn't bring himself to admit to being weak.

The struggle with Black was clearly evident. White knew what he had wanted to say. All the anger from before quickly faded away as he knelt in front of the man he had hunted for longer than he cared to remember. I'm always the first to aplogize, I guess this time's no different. He pulled open the front of Black's shirt. Buttons skittered away as he inspected the likely fatal wound he had inflicted.

"Black, you're a damned idiot. Why couldn't you have said that before? Before we were here, before I shot you?"

To be honest, Black was more than a little shocked when White ripped open his shirt. He didn't think, with as angry as the other spy had been, White would be trying to help the situation.

"You... you know why I couldn't before. Why... Why do you think I got sent here? Pride... is... a sin you know..." It was becoming increasingly difficult to make words but Black was determined to try. For a brief second he wondered if being stubborn was also a sin.

White knew death, he'd watched many die before. Black looked well on his way to the other side. He kicked himself for shooting his counter part, regreted ever even agreeing to meet this night. He pulled off his jacket, knowing his current wardrobe was all he had to wear in this place. Blood stains on his his only jacket? It would be far too bothersome.

After the stark white garmet was removed, White pulled Black to his chest and held him. "You're an idiot Black, you know that? You never know what you want and look at you now. You're dying in the arms of the enemy. Dying for something that could have been avoided. And what am I supposed to do now? The whole of ShinRa's finest will be after me tomorrow. How am I to explain this? I doubt 'he told me to do it' is going to go over so well. Goddamn it Black." He was babbling as he tried to hold himself together. White knew he had always been the more composed of the two and wasn't about to loose that image now.
