Summary: After being attacked and unwillingly going AWOL, Makubex goes home to Watanuki.
In the end, Makubex decided not to fire Karolina, although he made his displeasure very clear. He'd allowed her to take his laptop only under the condition that Kimihiro was told where he was. But, that didn't go as planned.
As an apology, she returned the laptop early and let him go home. He agreed he'd take another day or two off and headed back home, first sending Juubei a private message to assure him he was fine.
Makubex gave himself a quick once-over as he walked. Both arms were wrapped in bandages, as was most of his torso. One leg was bound and still tender. The only thing that truly bothered him was the gauze on his right ear. He'd been unconscious when it was being cleaned and treated, but he'd seen a fair amount of blood when the dressings had been changed. He was afraid he'd lost a part of it. But he'd know for certain later.
Now, he just wanted to get home. And apologize. Over and over...
