Kairi smiled just a little as she stood next to Leon and watched the crowd. She was more staring off than actually watching the others, though, with Riku on her mind so much. She really hadn’t wanted to leave him be, but when Rinoa was determined, she was determined. She was sure that maybe if she hid all the sharp objects in the house and tied herself down to a chair, they wouldn’t have been able to get her out of the house.

But that wouldn’t have worked at all, anyway. Not when she had seen Leon’s offer to be an escort. She assumed she should’ve taken the chance while she could. Besides, Riku would’ve wanted her to enjoy herself instead of worrying about him so much for one night, right?

She glanced up at Leon and shook her head slightly to herself as she remembered the first thought that ran through her mind when she saw him waiting for her at the clock tower: ‘I swear I thought he was in his early twenties,’ but he definitely looked older. Not that much older, but definitely older than 23. Older than the Leon she already knew. This one sort of looked like him, she noticed. The brown hair and the way it fell over his face--if it were just a little longer and he had the same scar on his face, she wouldn’t have been able to tell them apart in appearance, she was sure. Personality-wise, though, was quite easy.

Brushing her hands over her stomach a little before folding them in front of her, Kairi vaguely hoped no one would see her or talk to her. It wasn’t that she was afraid to do anything, oh no, or else she wouldn’t have been so daring with her dress (then again, Riku was the one that she wore it for). It was just that she didn’t want to… she actually didn’t know why she didn’t want to be talked to.

But it was obviously not going to work in her favor tonight, she could tell already.
