Summary: Lenne decides to bring a little cheer to Purgatorium, and does it by song.
Lenne looked up at the clock tower, her arms crossed over her chest with a smile on her face. Finally, she was able to continue the job she loved the most. Not that she didn’t like being a Summoner; after all, the Summoners back then didn’t have the burden of defeating Sin or the inevitable death they would face on their shoulders. But she’d rather not think about that right now. First, she had to focus and clear out her negative thoughts.
She was okay with it if not a lot of people showed up tonight-even if she couldn’t make everyone happy, she could try to please a fraction of Purgatorium. That’s all she wanted. Just a crowd full of smiling faces, all forgetting their worries for a while until the high from the excitement wore off. Even sinners as they were called needed a break from reality, she reasoned.
Turning back to the front of the stage, she spotted Shuyin and smiled to herself. Things fixed themselves between them and now everything was fine. He was playing with her and they were attending the upcoming ball together… Things finally healed, though it was strange that he was technically a thousand years older than her. Thinking about that made her laugh a little. No matter how old he was, he was still the same Shuyin she fell in love with during her pilgrimage on the inside.
Lenne held her hands behind her back as she walked toward the blond. “They’ll start showing up at any minute,” she called to him, still smiling. “Are you ready?”
[ooc; Here’s the log for the concert. Join in and socialize as you wish. How this is going to work is Lenne is going to make periodical posts with the songs and lyrics until Saturday night/Sunday morning when the log ends, giving your babies time to respond if they wish. Don’t worry, they’re only enduring six songs, all with specific meaning to them. If you want, here are the songs in order they’ll be performed. Just click to download the song itself if you want.
Life is Cool,
Every Time,
Piano in the Dark,
Pride,
Easy Come, Easy Go, and
Miss You. And from the looks of it, just imagine that they’re all done with one voice and the piano, unless Misa changes her mind again and shows up to help with backing vocals. She’s not obligated to, since she’s got dress commissions and all of course.]
