[Thanks for dropping by. I'll at least work on this log while I'm on hiatus... ^^]

He paused and lifted glowing green mako eyes to look at the young lady. In doing so, he'd schooled his expression enough and tried not to look too aggravated at the prank; unfortunately, he couldn't erase his firmly placed scowl though ultimately it was arguable that he'd tried his best. That she knew his name roused slight suspicion, but it wasn't too far-fetched that strangers might have heard of him; he had encountered telepaths who simply knew his name, and then there were strangers who'd known through his journal some months before. However, the likelihood that she was the latter was rather low as he posted in his journal rather infrequently.

Although he wasn't particularly keen on requesting assistance (rather, he would prefer being the one assisting others) or admitting that he needed it, perhaps it would do him well for his information gathering purposes. Sephiroth already knew that there were many from other different worlds as well as those from Gaia, he was also pretty sure that he couldn't possibly know each and every Gaian who arrived, regardless of how famous he might have been. In the organized structure of his mind, there were numerous names and faces that were left unmatched simply because he was a man of business, a man with little time, a general with few close friends, and a hero who didn't even know all the strangers that he'd sworn to save. Names without faces, faces without names, dedicated to memory without any real reason to refer to them later. It was his burden to carry.

"Yes, I do need some help. I am honored that you know my name; however, it is unfortunate that I've not heard of you. How is it that you've come to know me?"

Those eyes. Those deathly, mako-glowing green eyes and scowl was enough to stop Shelke in her tracks. How sane was this guy? He'd been sane enough to rise up to the first class in SOLDIER. He'd been insane enough to turn around and suddenly make the world his enemy. So, which was he now? Was he simply putting up a scene? Or was he really just like any other frustrated man, sick of the gunk that was slowly taking him over? Either way, Shelke's movement has halted altogether and didn't start again until Sephiroth had spoken. She swallowed down her fear.

"Ah, sir, I know you from my world," she explained, getting out a few things from the baggy she found and repaired: A mostly-clean bar of soap, an old, worn rag, and a banged up water bottle that worked well enough for a carrier if not a dispenser. She paused, then corrected, "Our world. Gaia. You were, and probably still are, quite famous." She mixed the items together to produce a soapy rag that she hoped wouldn't fall apart while she was cleaning the edge of the blade. Rag in hand, she reached towards the blade and faltered, eyes going to Sephiroth. Intimidated she was, obviously, as she would not start until he gave the command to do so.
