Summary: Zack asks Yazoo to search for Aerith, as she's been MIA since her death by the Joker. Yazoo bullies talks her into telling him where she is.
He'd known better than to argue when Kadaj went rushing off to Naminé's side. He always knew better where the witch was concerned, because Kadaj would not have taken kindly to someone hindering him from being there for her. He could understand it, to a point; he knew Kadaj's feelings toward her, after all. Never could he bring himself to try and keep his brother from something (someone) that made him truly happy and at ease. (It was a different case with all those other people constantly groping for Kadaj's attention; Yazoo found them to be irritating and selfish people, every one of them... more concerned with their own thoughts and feelings than those of his brother. They didn't care the inconvenience or frustration or hurt they put Kadaj through. None of them did.)
So when Kadaj left, he'd done nothing more than wave him off, knowing full well he couldn't follow to the upper level whilst he was still under punishment from the Gods. He would wait behind, irritable and restless without his brother nearby, and he would simply try to be patient, as always.
But then Zack had requested that he search for Aerith, and that... at least gave him something to do. It didn't take long, thankfully (because Yazoo had little patience) and soon enough, he found himself grabbing his gun from the table near his and Kadaj's bed and shortly after, was out the door heading for the school. Here was hoping Aerith wasn't foolish enough to go in, after hearing what happened to the Turk girl during her little visit.
Irritability level was still high, unfortunately. Vincent's looking for me, too. Oh, of course he was. Because that was what that aggravating Turk did: constantly drew the attention of the very few people Yazoo (secretly) considered to be a friend. He'd heard it enough from Rinoa; Vincent-this, Vincent-that. Need to get home to Vincent. Vincent's acting odd. Vincent, Vincent Vincent. So, yes, it did strike a sore spot to hear Aerith say such a thing, and he'd been intent on shying away and retreating to the depths of his temporary lower level home to sulk until Kadaj returned.
But Aerith requested that he come find her, and she was one person he'd never found himself capable of saying No to without extremely good cause. So of course he would go, obedient as he would have been had Kadaj himself ordered or requested it. Along the way, he mulled over the things that she could have forgotten in her death (and wondered just what had killed her and therefore what he'd need to hunt down and kill himself). A few things stuck out: Zack, Cloud, Jenova, Hojo... But when he'd mentioned Zack and Naminé, she seemed to recognize them. Ah, well. He supposed he'd either figure it out, or she could later turn to Naminé and request help in pinpointing just what memory had been taken from her.
Yazoo took no more than ten minutes to arrive at the school, shoulders drawing up tensely the slightest bit at the prickling feeling the mere sight of the building delivered to him. How that Turk could have ever walked in there without thinking something was wrong, he would never know. But that didn't matter just then, regardless; he just wanted to find Aerith and return home with her.
