Warnings: Um. Temper?
The door behind her almost scared her when it slammed, walls creaking with it-- it probably would have had Kanan not been absorbed with getting the hell away from the network and most other people. Even so, it only resulted in storm-gray eyes narrowing a little bit before she turned and stalked her way to the road below, her feet clopping with intent but no focus. She didn't want to deal with this right now. She was pretty thouroughly tired of... a lot of things, really, but the teasing was the worst. And she knew it was overreaction, but...
She couldn't stand this right now. There was no balance here-- she woke up, she went to work, sometimes she ate, she went back home, she went to bed and that was it. And with Logan gone, and Yachiru's schedule never crossing with hers, what time she had at home was...
Was...
Lonely. Before, she'd had her brother within visiting distance. He'd been harsh but when things were hard, he held her up. Here, she didn't have that option. And so like tissuepaper in the rain, she felt the pressure disintegrating her into a drone; someone who worked and worked and would die with the company, nothing important ever happening.
Was this what she wanted? She didn't know. She didn't think so.
A rock caught her foot. Looking up, she blinked. In her reverie, she'd failed to notice where she was going, and now she stood in front of a large church, battered and torn apart by the general ruin of this world. It made her chest swell, to look at it. She didn't know exactly where she was, but.... She approached it, quiet and awed.
