Elena frowned as she stared up at Sunde, her brown eyes squinting a little. The fish was laid down by the front of the building, as promised, and she trailed her fingers down the door with a pained sigh. She didn't want to cross the line, or even go back on what she had said about being there if he needed her, but sitting here and doing nothing... that wasn't helping anything either. If she pushed too hard, she would become annoying, but if she didn't push at all, she was worried he might slip away.
Losing one was agonizing beyond belief, but both?
For one lingering moment, she rested her forehead against the front door, her eyes closed as she muttered his name. It felt like there were miles between them, and she was tired of walking. Pushing off the door, she drew Shu's coat tighter around her, and turned around on her heel. Giving Sunde one last look, she started her slow way down the street. Going back home didn't seem that appetizing, not when it left her alone with the lingering thoughts of The One Who Got Away and no defense against their merciless, repetitive onslaught. Teeth tore into her bottom lip as she shoved her hands into her pockets, feeling the dig of her firearm into her hip; she hated wearing the gun there, but with the long drape of the stolen coat, there were no other options.
Sinking a little into the familiar heat of borrowed clothing, she quickened her steps to...well, even she wasn't sure. Not that the destination really mattered, just as long as she got off the streets; with the Crazy Guy running around, and Hojo and Co.'s probably looking for revenge, being out in the open and alone was the last thing she wanted.
