Yuki finished the cup of tea, holding it with both of his hands. The china was warm, pleasant for his cold fingers. He had never been a healthy child, his body always fragile rarely left the house. He looked up with his curious purple eyes to the ceiling, the feeble wood with patches, so different from his house, but so much warmer. He headed to the kitchen and washed the cup with the small bowl of water, scrubbing with the sponge, he didn't want to burden Aaron with his dirty dishes.
Once done, he walked to the door, stretching to pull it open. Outside the sky was always dark, always promising rain, the black sky Akito had endlessly described, but he didn't feel hopeless, there here gentle words, kindred eyes offering him friendship. Yuki secretly smiled to himself and walked outside.
