Summary: Mao goes to meet Bella and take her to his place to stay on the upper level.
Mao was eager when Bella said she was moving to the upper level. So eager, that even though she had said it would be an hour before she'd be up, he went and waited near the buildings almost immediately. He could tolerate the noise of others thoughts around there, and knew it. Since he didn't want to be late to meet her, and was bound to get distracted on the way.
The hour was almost up, though, by now. And now he was even more eager. He moved his fingers to the partially broken glasses he wore and pulled them off, looking out with clarity now. He was excited, and she would be there, soon.
