The shinobi really hated the incessant surge of voices that shouted into his mind every so often. It was something that was totally out of his control and hardly something one could become accustomed to. He actually had to stop for a moment to allow the pounding in his head to pass. After his pause, he went right on ahead to meet up with the female ninja.
Come to think of it, he hadn't heard from or seen Sakura lately. He missed the pink-haired kunoichi's company, but for all he knew, she'd disappeared or miraculously went home. Not that he believed anyone in this dump was ever truly sent home, but he'd like to think that Sakura's fate was better than most others'.
Finally arriving at Mitarashi's, he stared at the ground as another headache pounded through his mind. Kakashi would get it checked if he only felt that he could trust someone in this stupid place. Unfortunately, he didn't really trust most of the scientists after Rikku had been infected with Jenova...
...again, he had to kill that train of thought.
So he finally lifted his hand to knock on the kunoichi's door. Sure, he was a little late, but that was never anything unusual.
