"Never fear, for I am here!" Ayame declared dramatically to them before giggling happily. "Have you found a pet as well, Haru?" the snake inquired, looking at he wolf with interest.

Sliding his left foot back, Haru directed his attention back over his shoulder, expression remaining emotionless as he eyed Ayame; a mesh of extravagant colours, frilly layers and silver hair. Of course, Haru was hardly moved by this entrance, and was more suprised that Ayame was still in his human form.
"Ayame...You didn't have to come. I was on my way there, but seemed to have lost my way amongst the unfamiliar buildings and dying light.."
Another pause, to consider how likely Ayame was to buy his excuse, and to think over his inquiry. "Pet? Dunno...he just followed me here."

"But I came anyway! Besides, it's getting dark...darker and I don't think you want to get even more lost!" Ayame waved aside Haru's words easily. "Besides, it gives me some time to update you on things here!" he added cheerfully. Even Purgatorium could mot damper Ayame's spirits.

But before he could move, Marco cut in, reminding the Jyuunishi that he was still there. He was impatient to get back to the family (suprisingly) but after getting the wolf lost, it wouldn't be too much to lead him to the Tower..especially if it was on the way.
"Oh..This is Ayame, he's my cousin. Ayame," a gesture back to Marco, "this is..." And at that point, he realised that introductions had not yet been made between them. He stared blankly at the creature for a moment, trying to recall whether a name had been dropped.
'..What's your name?"

But he paused, looking down at the wolf, blinking. He had not been aware that the animal could understand him, but at least Ayame had not said anything too revealing.

He watched Haru and Ayame talk. They knew each other. Ayame could lead Haru to... wherever they had to go. He wanted to track that scent he caught a whiff of.
He broke out of his thoughts when Haru introduced him to his cousin. < Ah! I forgot about that. I'm Marco. I'd shake hands, but it's much warmer in this morph, so.. > He shrugged in a wolf-y way.

"..Morph?" Morph...as in form? So he did have another form then.
He shot a glance back at Ayame, silently checking to see how the other was reacting. Any normal human would find it wierd for another to transform into an animal, and to accept something like that so willingly..
But he'd already failed in reacting to a talking animal, so there was no point trying to save something that was already lost.
"What..do you mean?"
"I guess Marco wants to get to the Tower..." Directed at the Snake again, "do you mind if we go past that?"

"The clock tower? Not at all, it's on the way in fact! Follow me!" Ayame exclaimed dramatically as he turned around with a twirl, long silver braid flipping out around behind him and skipped ahead.
"Come along!" Ayame urged cheerfully, a skip in his step as usual.

He was about to answer Haru's inquiry when Ayame interrupted. He wanted to go to the tower, yes, but....
< Actually, since you've found your cousin, I guess I can take my leave. > He stood, turning in the direction the scent was coming from.
< Good meeting you guys. Maybe we'll meet again and hang out or something. > He nodded and trotted off up the street.
