Summary: Repliku offers himself to Szayel in exchange for Presea's release. Szayel decides he wants them both.
Repliku: Repliku hurried to the junkyard, moving to get to there before the deadline of one, just to be sure that he could get there for his first real friend. Once he had learned that she was in danger, he couldn't do anything but worry, and scavenge. Grabbing a rusty pipe from a heap, he comforted himself with the idea that this really was the best he could do if he had been double-crossed by this stranger. Crouching low, he layed in wait, painfully aware of every sound in the area.
Szayel-Aporro: Szayel had no intention of actually giving up his newest specimen, but... well. He had to make this look real. He had to make the boy believe that he intended to leave the girl free. As such, he carefully injected the pink-haired girl with a fairly strong sedative, and, once she had become quite still, he tossed her over his shoulder, and ventured out. His zanpakutou, as always, was tied at his waist, but... well, no reason to truly damaged his darling Professor's newest toy. To put him down, he had a rather crude - but effective - jury-rigged taser hidden in his right sleeve. The output was a bit higher than one would normally use to subdue, but... well, it likely wouldn't cause any true damage. If it did... they could always bash the boy's head in, and wait for him to come back again, good as new. Lost time was all, but time wasn't something they had a lot of. So... better not to damage him.
The laboratory wasn't too far from the junkyard, in all truth; he prevaricated a bit, though, to both add the illusion of distance, and to assert his control over the situation. When he finally arrived, though, he had, by all appearances, kept his word. "You are... the young android, are you not?" he called out.
Repliku: Repliku could hear him coming, and peeked out out from behind his position once he had heard the voice. "Yes." He replied softly, watching the pair with suspicion and worry. "Is she going to be okay?" He asked gently, worry winning out in his newly-formed heart. He took a couple of steps forward, still very wary of the obviously dangerous man.
Szayel-Aporro: Szayel rolled his eyes. "Naturally. It ought to take her between three and four hours to awaken, but... there will be no ill effects. Now come out into the open," he said, as he maneuvered the girl into a position where she could act as a human shield. One arm at her waist, supporting her... the other at her chin, an as-yet-unspoken threat, in case of non-compliance.
Repliku: Repliku dropped the pipe and hurried in, too worried for the girl to be concerned for his own safety. Once he was within arm's reach, he opened his arms out, silently asking to hold her.
Szayel-Aporro: The boy was unarmed, so... well, why not? It might make him a bit more trusting. Besides... Szayel knew he could draw Fornicaras and strike the girl's head from her shoulders before the android could escape him. So... there was no downside to allowing her to be held. Gently, he passed her over to Repliku.
Repliku: Repliku carefully took the girl from him, looking around for a relitively sheltered place to keep her until one of her friends picked her up and took her to safety. Spying a mostly-intact car, he slowly and deliberately pulled her over to the place, putting her inside of the rusted-out shell.
"She should be okay there before someone picks her up." He said softly, mostly to himself. He turned back to Szayel, green eyes wide. "I'm ready to go."
Szayel-Aporro: "Quite," he responded, though he knew the words weren't meant for him. "Now. Come with me, precious... And we shall see what use you might be." He beckoned slowly to Repliku, waiting for the child to come to his side.
Repliku: Repliku came over obediently, following though on his promise. He refused to look the man in the face anymore however, being he was a disturbing combination of Vexen and Marluxia, and something that was all his own. His creator and jailor, rolled into one evil monster.
Szayel-Aporro: When Repliku had joined him, Szayel put his arm over the boy's shoulders, and began to lead him back in the direction he had come from; he wouldn't be going TOO far, of course. Just far enough to convince Repliku that everything was settled.
Repliku: Repliku's lip curled in distaste at being touched in such an overly-friendly manner, but he relented to it, glaring resolutely forward, atthe same time cursing his creator for adding a nervous system to his skeletal frame. This could only end painfully.
Szayel-Aporro: After a moment of walking, Szayel brought his hand away, brushing back the hair on the right side of his head; as his hand was out of view, though, he retrieved the taser from his sleeve. He thumbed it on, and quickly thrust it at the boy's neck, so that the tiny, almost inaudible, crackle of electricity wouldn't give him forewarning.
Repliku: Repliku dropped like a stone once the crackle of produced lightning hit his throat, one hand half up in defense as he was struck. He emitted a castrated little yelp, followed by much louder pained cries, body shaking and jumping unwillingly from the charge. His tendons flexed and jerked, pulling the boy into a ball.
Szayel-Aporro: Hopefully, that would overload the young android long enough for Szayel to get both him and his pink-haired counterpart safely restrained. For the moment, he left Repliku there, twitching, and went off to retrieve Presea; now that the illusion of care was unnecessary, he simply dragged her by her collar, sure that the sedative would keep her from being jolted awake. With Repliku, though, he took more care, throwing him over his shoulder as he had, previously, with Presea. The children situated, he returned home to the lab, certain that his beloved Professor Hojo would be quite pleased with the present he had been brought.
