Who: Claire & Anyone When: This evening Where: The Beach Rating: G, for now Warnings: None, as of yet Summary: Claire's really curious to find this sea monster people speak of...
A monster? At the beach? Raditz, of course, had to bear witness to this. And so, here he was, his armor covered in sand, and his hair full of the stuff as well. "Claire, are you certain about this? I've pretty much stuck to this area for the last while and I've seen nothing." I still need to find a job, too, he thought with a disgruntled frown.
Blinking, Claire was suprised by Raditz showing up. Even still, she offered him a smile and a little wave of her arm. "Of course I'm sure about this. Adam said it existed, and he wouldn't lie to me."
Of course, he could have been playing a joke on her. "He'd better not be lying to me,at least."
"Um...." Claire wasn't sure how to respond to that, really. The look on her face was nothing but confusion. "I... hm. I don't think killing it is a good idea. Other people should get to enjoy it, too!"
"Oh, sure," Raditz replied, "more people should lose hands to it. Most people don't grow back like you, Claire." Raditz shook his head, his tail tracing circles into the sand behind him. "I personally think we get a look, get whatever reaction we may have out of our system, then kill it."
He held up one hand, a small sphere of energy appearing. "I have just the thing, too."
She shook her head, nibbling at her lower lip. She really didn't want the sea monster thing to die. Maybe creating attention for it hadn't been the best idea. Oh well. Too late to worry about that now. "We're not going to kill it." She calmly and patiently responded, her hand going to rest on his wrist.
"Whatever you say," Raditz said, "you're the boss. Of course, if it does try to eat you, I'll simply have to tear it in half, won't I? So try to remain out of its reach."
She liked being called the boss. Giving out a laugh, Claire nodded in agreement. "Okay, yeah. I won't get eaten. And if I do, then you can tear it in half. But don't blast that thing. I am not in the mood to be cleaning up fish bits for a month."
"Who said anything about blasting it to bits? I just want it nice and seared, so it'll go well as a dinner entree." Raditz nodded his head, licking his lips excitedly. "Yeah, I'm sure that'd be nice and tasty."
Claire made a disgusted face, wrinkling her nose. "I think I need to get you some hot dogs or something." She decided that she would pick him up some the next time she went grocery shopping. "You can cook those over a fire, and it'd be a lot easier than killing something and eating it."
"I have never had dog," Raditz commented, "but I suppose it's worth a try." He shrugged, but continued standing where he was. "It's just most animals about the size of a sea serpent are just the right amount of food for me. We Saiyans eat a lot."
"Not a real dog!" She quickly blurted out, before cracking up with laughter. "They're...well, I'm not sure what they actually are. But they aren't actually dogs. And I guess if you eat that much, maybe monster hunting is best for you." She hid her amused smile by holding both hands over her mouth.
"They aren't dog." Claire was positive about that. "They could be part pig, or cow, or raccoon for all I know, but they aren't dog. People where I'm from don't eat dogs." At least she hoped they didn't.
"But how do you know?" Raditz was adamant on this point. After all, you can't be certain you're eating something or not when you've no idea what you're eating.
"Because I've looked at the ingredients before, and dog isn't listed." She lied, crossing her arms over her chest. Smirking up at Raditz, she reached out to poke at his chest. "You're just going to have to trust me on this one."
