Warnings: Possible violence. Cranky Cissnei.
Summary: Cissnei's tired of searching for Schu with no leads; she receives help from Kadaj to venture into the sewers in search of Wesker (and hopefully, some answers).
She was at a loss of things to do and places to look. For as small as the city was, it was still perfectly possible to venture from one corner to the other, turn over every building, and still miss half of the possible hiding places for a mad scientist and his associates.
And Cissnei was worried. Worried to the point where she wasn't sleeping and eating was becoming a chore. Val had said something about going to talk to Hojo, but Cissnei was not about to sit around and wait for that the happen. Wesker had to know something. Had to at least know the last place he'd seen Schuldig, and she wanted that information. She'd tried to be nice, offer him something in return, and he'd toyed around with her.
Perhaps a few bullets in his head would change his mind.
If not him, then his precious pets lurking about the sewers. Cissnei was no fool and she knew that going alone would have been a death wish, however. And, oh so conveniently, Zack had offered any of his SOLDIERs for her to take along if she required backup. So she did.
Kadaj was smaller than most of the others, and he'd been in the sewers plenty of times before. He had the strength required to move the heavy grates and blockades that Cissnei could not even budge. She'd mulled over her options for backup (Kadaj, Larxene, Kazuki), and he had, ultimately, proven to be the best choice.
To the ShinRa offices she went. Loaded up on ammo, received a second gun, brought along two extra darts for the tranq gun, tiny flashlight, a single potion (all she had, for the time being) and had Rekka hanging from her hip. She was as well prepared as she was capable of getting, and hopefully it would be enough. Kadaj was given a warm, friendly greeting and an extreme 'thank you' for helping her out. Whether he held the same dislike for Turks that she knew some of the SOLDIERs did, Cissnei wasn't sure. But she always did her best to soothe over those old wounds with all of them and be polite and respectful. The Turks no longer were above SOLDIER. They were equals, and Cissnei knew it would serve her to remember that (especially when dealing with Angeal and Genesis).
Back out in the cold, and the two headed for one of the sewer entrances. Too heavy for her to move, too small an opening for any of the larger SOLDIERs to have ever made it through.
