Who: Angeal, Genesis (FF!Cloud and Aerith for a bit).
When: After Aerith's post about finding Angeal.
Where: The church.
Rating: PG to PG-13.
Warnings: Emoooo.
Summary: After inhabiting Genesis' body for the body-switch event, Angeal made the mistake of taking off the bracelet that keeps Genesis... well, sane. He lost his temper and killed Zack, and went off to emo for awhile after turning back.

He'd mulled over many options. Mainly ones revolving around locking himself up in the ShinRa labs or at home until Angeal decided to return. Why he couldn't have just... put the bracelet on and left it at that, who knew. He was stubborn, and his sense of logic right then wasn't all too sharp and he was fully convinced that keeping the bracelet off would bring Angeal home sooner.

I want to see him, was the only thought to continuously run through his muddled, unclear head.

Thoughts and feelings and incoherencies he's thought - hoped - to never deal with again, and... he had such a headache. Angeal would know now, unfortunately. He'd know exactly what it felt like, the foggy sense of depression and seclusion that Genesis had lived with for the last several years. It wasn't something Genesis had ever wanted him to be able to relate to. Ever.

And he wasn't willing to let Angeal be upset with himself over this. Whatever had happened with Fair... well, Zack had prodded him into fighting (Genesis was still angry over that; he could have handled it, dammit), and just as Angeal never held Genesis at blame for his actions when similar things occurred... the ex-SOLDIER couldn't think of any reason to blame Angeal for this. Certainly Fair wouldn't have, either. If anyone else did, they could take it up with Genesis.

But - ah, any plans he had were put on hold when he read Aerith's post. In no time, he was up and heading to the church, coincidentally enough, running into Strife along the way. The blonde (wisely) said nothing to him. Merely fell in step alongside him and they made their way through the streets of Purgatorium's lower level. Gravel eventually gave way to brittle, snow and ice-crusted grass. Buildings gave way to the occasional leafless tree. They reached the river before too long, and it was quieter than usual thanks to the thick layer of ice formed smoothly over the top. If one dusted away the snow and looked close enough, they could see the water still rushing beneath the surface, barely visible.

Not trusting the ice to hold their weight, the pair traveled farther upstream until discovering the bridge, and across it they went. Cloud took the lead from there, having been to the church a few times before and knowing the way even through surroundings that looked different beneath the blanket of winter.

And there was the church, with it's massive doors that led into the courtyard, where things were only barely greener than outside, and farther in were the actual set of doors leading into the building itself. Genesis stepped past Cloud then, hands planted to the worn, carved wood and pushing them open. Instantly, worried eyes were flicking about the room beyond; high, arched roofs and intricate designs and carvings all about the walls. Genesis might have noted that it was a rather lovely sight, were he not so blindingly focused on one thing.

"Angeal?"
