Shishi had been bored since Reno had been found. Since being hired by Shinra, he was disappointed he had not been able to do much fighitng beyond sparring with Zack once. That had been interesting.

But now the tengu demon had decided to wander around the Shinra building out of curiousity, violet eye glancing around for anything that would provide amusing or the such. He paused though as he passed the kitchen, noticing Rikku. He had no idea what she was doing and he raised one eyebrow.

"What are you doing?" the samurai was blunt with his words as he crossed his arms.

For a couple seconds, she thought that her wish had come true and that her favorite knaycasuhgao had randomly appeared to be her ever-faithful knight in not-so-shining armor. Gippal was officially her new hero, right behind Zack and Lulu. A brief image of the two of them riding through the desert on a hover flashed through her mind, and she grinned carelessly as her swirled eyes slowly slid opened.

Of course, she was wrong.

Her new companion was not Gippal, but in fact someone completely different; someone she had never ever seen before. The elder Al Bhed had just dropped down six spots on the thief's list of awesome people for not answering her mental call for amusement.

"Lying on the floor," she answered, equally as blunt. She wasn't really in the mood to tease or anything; that was most definitely a sign that she was going stir-crazy. After a few moments, she decided to elaborate. "Because I'm bored." Oh yes, the blonde girl was certainly jaded.

"Good enough reason, I suppose," the tengu commented, he was bored enough to understand actually. He didn't feel like heading home to the over dramatic clown at the moment. As much as he and Suzuki were close, a break was good sometimes.
But then again, even exploring around the Shinra building had not offered much in the way of something to do either.
"I hope it is not this boring all the time in this place," he commented, wondering if she was an employee as well. There was much he was curious about this place as well.

She grinned ruefully, rolling over so that she was on her stomach. The girl propped her elbows up on the ground and rested her chin in her palms, watching him with wide green eyes. She could already tell that he wasn't completely human, and that made him interesting. This place had just gotten a whole lot better; Rikku had always liked interesting people.

"I wouldn't know," she said sweetly. "I've only seen this kitchen, the inside of a few offices, a couple hallways, and the cell they had me in when I first got here." It was a straightforward answer, one she gave in hopes of initiating some sort of conversation to find out more about this stranger. If he was an employee, maybe he could pull some strings and get someone to take her outside for a few hours. It was a long shot, but the girl was a born-and-raised optimist.

Shishi smirked at her answer, perhaps this place was not so boring after all. He had only recently started working for Shinra to track Hojo and his allies and then Reno. Though that had proven pointless, not to mention disappointing to the tengu, when Reno showed up on his own.

"Interesting. I assume you must have an interesting connection to Shinra then," Shishi commented with a chuckle, he was curious to know more now.

Still grinning, she gave an impromptu shrug. "Not really a connection," she replied easily, simultaneously gesturing for him to sit down. "More like... a forced truce or something."

Really, she was more interested in having a conversation than really informing him on her relationship with ShinRa. To her, it wasn't all that much of a connection anyway; she was sick, and the people there were going to cure her. Or slow down the virus at least, since from what she knew there wasn’t a permanent cure. It was sort of like an extended trip to a hospital - a hospital that had a mysterious background and employees who were pretty much the same as anyone else. Of course, the employees had amazing weapons and insider knowledge that civilians didn't have, but that was beside the point.

The point was that ShinRa, in her eyes, was basically one, big rest home that she'd been forced to go to because of happenings beyond her control.

Shishi had nothing better to do at the time being so he sat in a nearby chair, crossing his legs as he sat back. The katana that hung from his side was moved to rest across his lap and he absentmindedly rested one hand on it as he looked at her.

"Hm. I admit, I am not overly familiar with Shinra, I pretty much just started working here," the tengu admitted. He had met a few of the excutives and one of the SOLDIERS so he was slowly learning his way around the company though he still had no idea what exactly was going on.

Verdant eyes traced the katana for a moment, and her fingers twitched, tickling her own cheek. Her nose wrinkled, and she crossed her legs at the ankles, bending her knees so her feet were up in the air. She blew a stray braid from her face, letting her gaze drift back to his face. The blonde girl looked like nothing more dangerous than a bored teenager.

"Then we're in the same boat," she half-yawned. "I didn't know anything about it until Schuldig brought me here the other day." How long had it been? About a week, at most. "I never really asked Zack about it, and I dunno what Kakashi does. He kills monsters or something, I think."

The samurai knew better then to judge by appearance alone, even with humans. He did not notice her glance at the katana though. He brushed a few stray strands of his blue hair out of his face before crossing his arms once more.
He didn't know Schuldig but had seen the other's name around and he had met Zack once but he did not know anyone else besides Shu and Rufus.

"So it seems. The monsters here are weaker then most lower class demons, I would not think there would be much challenge in that," Shishi commented, he had bored of killing monsters on his own early, even without the use of his powers. "I am almost disappointed there is not much going on here, though," he added.

Rikku gave a little condescending sound. "You're telling me," she mumbled. "The fiends here aren't any stronger than coyotes, and I could take those down when I was seven." So maybe she was exaggerating a little, but that was sure what it felt like.

"All the awesome fiends are on the Upper Level," she commented, grinning. "I was up there for a while, y'know. There were things like Manticores and Zus." Well, close enough, anyway. It wasn't hard to really distinguish the creatures here; they all seemed either exactly the same or completely unrecognizable. "If you get bored of the ones down here, you should try," she pointed upwards, wagging a yellow-polished finger lazily, "to get up there."

"Really? It would be good to have to use of my demon energy back as well," the samurai smirked lightly, running his hand down the katana. Shishi treated his sword better then he treated most people.

"I have never hard of Manticores or Zus before though," Shishi said thoughtfully, wondering what world she came from."I take it tey are creatures from where you came from?"

She raised a thin blonde eyebrow. "Demon energy?" she repeated, letting one arm fall to the ground. So she'd been right - he wasn't human. Well, he wouldn't be the first supernatural being she had met.

The thief nodded before launching into an exposition. "Manticores are like a big jumble of fiends all thrown together. They're really nasty and like to shoot lightning and fire and water at people," she explained. "Zus are... well, really big birds. But they like to eat people and stuff."

"Yes, I am a tengu demon...or bird demon if you will," Shishi explained, he had found that not many in this place were familiar with what tengu were. But he was still a rather young demon at that, even if he was older then most humans.

"Interesting...they sound like some of the lower class demons where I come from," he commented. "They must have been interesting to fight at least.

A bird demon? So did that mean... "Can you fly?" she asked, ignoring the fact that just maybe that was a rude question. She didn't really care; she'd rather ask and be rude than keep it to herself and spend countless hours wondering if he had wings concealed somewhere in that cloak or whatever of his.

She nodded, flexing her yellow-polished toes and wiggling on the floor a bit to make herself more comfortable. "They were," she confirmed. She flashed him a grin of alabaster-white teeth. "They made good meals, too."

"Somewhat," Shishi nodded. He didn't have wings and he could not fly as well as the wind shinobi but he still could to a limited amount, especially in his imp form.

Shishi laughed at her last comment, as a samurai he did not eat meat save for the occasional fish but he was used to such things in demon world."At least such creatures for good for a good fight and a meal afterward.

She nodded, thinking about this for a few seconds. She had always wondered what it would be like to fly free, without the aid of an airship. She was impressed that he could do that, if only a little. "Awesomesauce," she praised, still bobbing her head.

"Chewy, though," she commented, wrinkling her nose. Her eyes drifted once more to his katana, and she couldn't help but ask. "... Is it sharp?"
