It felt like forever since Misao had a chance to relax a little. She had almost been afraid that she was going to end up with a frown permanently plastered on her face after the events of the past week and half. Thankfully, Rikku had been found and was hopefully getting some rest at the moment but there was still no word from Kakashi. Misao hoped he was doing all right but she couldn't help but feel that he wasn't. After spending some time at the shrine, she planned to go back out and look for him.

The autumn trees looked spectacularly beautiful and Misao was almost tempted to run through the leaves that had fallen beneath them. But it looked like Rei was trying to keep the area around the shrine pretty tidy so Misao restrained herself. From still a bit ways off, Misao waved with one arm as she carried the box of cocoa powder in the other and called out to the miko, "Oi! I'm here!"

Her mood had lifted slightly since her post, and she'd actually started to feel a bit better. Between Sasuke and Misao, Sakura had managed to drag herself out of her funk. Showering, putting on fresh clothes and dragging Yume behind her, Sakura had set out of her house with a skip in her walk and cookies under one arm in a bin. They might not be Ino, and in a way Sakura was thankful for that, but Misao was an awesome person, and if Misao liked Rei, then Rei had to be good too ( ... )

Staring at the entrance blankly, Rei remembers the events. Misao's confusion, Kakashi missing his girlfriend, and her own problems. Finally, it felt as if the stress was lifting from her shoulder knowing Misao coming over. Still, she wearys of the monk of course. Just like grandpa except, her grandfather knows how to keep his hands to himself. Rei tilts her head forward letting out a loud sigh ( ... )

Misao grinned as she approached the front of the shrine. "I've got the cocoa, remember? It should go well with the cookies Sakura is bringing. And I think we could all use a nice warm drink."

As Rei introduced herself to Sakura, who had been not too far behind her, Misao turned around to wave to the younger kunoichi. "Hey, Sakura-chan! I'm glad you could come." Gesturing towards Rei, Misao added, "Yeah, this is Rei-chan. She's the miko of this shrine."

Sakura watched as Yume wagged her tail, weaving patterns between the two girl's legs and generally running around doing puppy things. Keeping half an eye on the dog, for she had started to dig holes in the lawn around Sakura's place, Sakura turned toward the girl who introduced herself. "Ah, greetings, Rei-san. Nice to meet you too!"

Jade green eyes softened and she nodded her head. "A miko? That's impressive, though the shrine. That weird guy works here, doesn't he?"

Sakura had remembered reading somewhere that Miroku was offering some service about reading something. Palms? The future? Sakura had just gazed over it to tell the truth. "Thanks for inviting me too. It's nice to get out of the house actually."
