Summary: Kakashi sneaks out during work hours in search of Rikku, but it's not like he really knows where to start...

Ed was wandering along the street when he spotted Kakashi. He had not been meeting his friend for a long time, except a brief meeting at the ball since Kakashi had moved to the higher level.

"Who are you looking for, Kakashi?" Ed asked as he approached his friend. He could tell Kakashi was anxious and frustrated. He added seriously: "Did something happen to Rikku?"

Kakashi didn't really want word to get out so quickly, but he had the feeling that he could trust Ed--and didn't Ed once say that he was monitoring someone after the ball? Someone who might have malicious intentions for Rikku?

He nodded. "Yeah, I'm looking for Rikku..." He paused, thinking for a moment and remembering what Medea had said to him. "I brought the kittens home last night, but she never came home... and I asked the gods, but they said that she was being held here against her will..."

Shooting a serious look at Ed, he continued, "You said that you were monitoring someone--Don Corneo. Does he have anything to do with it?"

"I'm not too sure, Kakashi. But I wouldn't be surprised if he did." Ed pondered deeply as he recalled his past conversations with the man.

"We'll look around then." Ed added: "Do you have any idea where to start?"

Kakashi thought about it a bit. "Yesterday, she wasn't in her garage. I checked there today, too, just in case. Otherwise, though, I hardly have any leads."

But he wasn't even thinking straight anymore from worry and lack of rest.

He became quiet for a moment, the thoughts swirling around in his head. "Where is this Don Corneo now?"

If Corneo had kidnapped Rikku, Kakashi was going to teach him a lesson... nothing along the lines of killing him, but there would definitely be some sort of punishment to teach the Don not to cross lines with the Copy Ninja...

"I've just showed him part of the place, Kakashi." Ed replied shortly. He pondered to himself. He had been running all over the place with Don before Rikku's disappearance. Even if Don had the intention to abduct Rikku, he hadn't the chance to kidnap her with Ed watching so closely besides him.

He shook his head. "Don is innocent, Kakashi." He said shortly. "I have been showing him around the city for the past 2-3 days, there isn't any chance for him to kidnap her without me knowing it."

"Don is with a Misao now." Ed replied. "Do you know anyone whom Rikku would have visited in the lower level?" He looked around the place.

"We can take note of the number of possible places Rikku could have gone and we'll investigate them one at a time." Ed suggested.
