While Tseng's emotions might be a bit hard to read, Reno's were not. He was mere metaphorical INCHES from actually foaming at the mouth. He was going to kill Hojo. No, not just kill... mutilate. Torture. Flay. You mess with ONE Turk, you earn the wrath of them ALL... that was part of their code. The fact that each of them held a unique and special place in Reno's heart did NOT help the situation.

No semblance of his normal effervescent nature remained; he was clearly out for blood, as he stalked towards the clock tower. His eyes flashed around madly, seeking out Tseng; the seniormost Turk had told him that they needed to meet beforehand, and so they would meet. And then they would rampage, he had no doubt.

It didn't take long to notice the other man; considering he was dressed as conspicuously as always, though, it took a bit longer than one might expect. Rage was clearly toying with Reno's perceptions.

Though dark eyes were turned down, focused on the glinting steel of his gun, he caught the bright flash of red hair, and he looked up, narrowing in on the (very obviously enraged) Turk approaching him. Pushing away from the boulder he had been propped up against, Tseng took a step forward and beckoned him closer, sparing a quick glance over the top of his shoulder to assure that they were alone. They were, thankfully, which was strange, considering how popular of a place the clock tower tended to be. People usually flocked there, especially newcomers, but today - for whatever reason - it was barren, quiet, eerily still ( ... )

Upset? Yeah, he was upset. Just a little. He'd been out for blood when Corneo had snatched Elena, two years before... and what he had in mind for her, though terrible, was nothing compared to what Hojo might do. Some said the Turks were leashed monsters... if that were true, then Hojo was a free-range demon.

Tseng's urging did get through, though, and he forced it back a bit. He was right. Going in with tunnelvision could get them killed... or worse. The change he was able to enact, though, was not terribly great...

Still, he nodded to his superior, nonverbally asking him to go on.

A lot could change in a few years. One's boss, for instance. Rufus didn't seem all too bad, but Cissnei needed some time to feel him out, get used to him and his way of thinking. (And she'd need to learn fast to avoid getting shot. That was how she'd died, after all - taking a bullet point-blank in the face; not something she cared to repeat, thankyouverymuch.) Even the entire world that she'd woken up in was different from where she'd last seen, though a place like this would have fit in well enough back home anyway...

But some things didn't change, and apparently Tseng and Reno were two of them. They were easy to spot even from a great distance. Truth be told, despite that she'd technically last seen them only a few days prior, it... did feel like longer. A lot longer, and it sort of warmed her to see them now and a little fluttering in her chest had her feeling unmistakably happy ( ... )
