Summary: Aerith is once again in Purgatorium, sans any memory of ever being there, and Zack goes to find her and try to explain what's going on.
Truth be told, Zack wasn’t surprised. He had been in Purgatorium long enough to know full well that sometimes people came and they went and then they came back without recalling ever been there before, and with how long Aerith had been quiet lately-well, he might have even been expecting to see her post, utterly confused and lost as to where she was and what was going on.
And that was okay, wasn’t it? That was okay because Zack was quick enough to obtain her location and skip out on work (though he did manage to remember to send a note to Tseng, Gone to see Aerith; back on duty soon). He’d just go there and find her and then he could, as he had promised he would, do his best to explain to her what was going on and all that had happened.
Overall, Zack was even… in a good mood. Not that he wanted Aerith to be stuck in a place like this (even if he still didn’t think it was all that bad), but, well-he had missed her and it had been sort of… empty, almost, without her being around. So, he was glad that he was going to be able to see her again and speak to her and just-what? Know that she was okay, perhaps.
It didn’t take him all that long for him to reach the river from where he had been (which was, as ever, the hospital) after he had set out. And then he just followed it, continually glancing around and keeping his eyes open, searching for any sight of the flower girl.
Which came not a few moments later.
“Aerith!!”
