Summary: Jean wants to test out her new trinket, so she gets her family to help her.
As soon as she had put on the bracelet granted to her by Medea, Jean had wanted to go out and test it's stregnth. It was a device that promised to help control her abilities, and something Jean was sure would keep the Phoenix in check. It was with those high hopes in mind that she set out for the river, knowing Logan and Yachiru would be meeting her soon.
She didn't wait for them to arrive to get to work, as her mind felt entirely clear and focused. Like it used to several years prior. It was a nice feeling, to feel as if she were in complete control. She didn't want to overdo it, but she also didn't want to let such a precious gift go to waste. If she could control her abilities and the Phoenix, then it meant a great deal to her. She would be able to trust herself entirely around Yachiru, as well as Marie. And more importantly, Logan would be able to trust her with herself again.
Her eyes scanned over the heavily wooded area, until she caught sight of a monster to work with. When it caught sight of her, the large boar like beast charged. The doctor stood her ground, unblinking. Hand outstretched, she used telekinesis to easily swoop the creature up off the ground and into the air. Focusing in on it, she caused the boar to spin in dizzying circles. Grinning from ear to ear, Jean felt proud that her control wasn't slipping, and a headache wasn't forming. As she brought the monster toward her with a sweep of her hand, she could feel the fear radiating from it's thoughts. It had started as the predator, but had stumbled upon prey that bit back. So, not all the beasts in Purgatorium were mindless killers, then.
"Well. This is interesting."
Head tipped off to the side, and Jean simply stood and stared at the boar, watching it run in the air. She was interested to see how long she could keep her ability in check, how long she could hold it up before she weakened. She was going to have to find some incredible way to thank Medea, and the other Gods as well.
