Although Tifa usually stayed at the cafe most of the day, today she had left the others in charge, knowing that they would be able to take care of things on their own. Thus had her search began, but it really was like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Her search had taken her toward the beach, which was one of the last areas that she had to cover. It was starting to look like Marlene had vanished, and hopefully that meant that the girl had gone home, and had not become a victim to some strange plot. There was a figure though upon the beach, one that Tifa watched for several moments until the dim murkiness slowly allowed his frame to be revealed to her eyes. One word alone was hissed angrily as her brows furrowed upon her forehead.
"Sephiroth..."

He drew the Masamune against her and charged, but unlike times before, he seemed to be in slow motion. And he didn't seem to realize it just yet. Sephiroth thought that it was just like back then, that he had enough strength and power to take her on without using any extra effort.
But he didn't realize just how wrong he was.

"Shit," she swore, watching as his sword withdrew, for Tifa was not an idiot, and knew that usually, he would be able to to take her out without much effort, but was being in Purgatorium affecting him any? Running was an option, but there would only be so far she could run, and depending on his mood, he might not give up.
Therefore, she resolved herself, those gloved hands forming into fists as she waited, her body tense and ready, waiting for him to actually arrive.

"Hn."
Masamune glided through the air, ready to tear through her neck, while his right hand thrust toward her neck to grab her if she escaped his blade in time.

She did not fail to see the hand that shot out toward her neck, and her own arm reached out, fingers seeking to gain purchase upon his wrist, using gravity to pull him with her as her body still arched back toward the ground. In slow motion, though quick actually rather fast, her leg was brought up, her foot kicked out toward his solar plexus with all the force she could muster. Letting go of that wrist, hoping that she had put in enough strength to send the vile man into the air, Tifa prepared to make her next move, bunching her legs down close to the ground to propel herself upward.
