Summary: Angeal going to see Jenova + River's comments set Genesis off~
He wanted to see Angeal.
That was all it started out as. He wanted to see Angeal but Angeal was off with that monster and unreachable to him at that moment, and it scared him. Come home come home come home- And from there, it was a blur of loud voices all shouting at him, accusing and foolish and what the hell did any of them know, anyway?! They knew nothing, ignorant children. Nothing at all.
He spoke to himself to try and quiet the voices. "Revenge is scarred into my soul. Agonizing for its arrival, our wishes become our relief..." Soft, murmured words whispered beneath heavy breaths. Soothing. Calming. Familiar.
Is being human enough?
Yes, yes, it was. Because all things considered, Genesis had never truly been human, had he? He had ShinRa and the G-Project to thank for all of that. To be human... he would have accepted it, welcomed it, perhaps. He and Angeal, couldn't they have been heroes were it not for all of that? Real heroes with real lives, a happily ever after--
And he really had no idea just where he was going. Didn't know where Jenova or Angeal were (couldn't get his mind to function well enough to try and sense them out; not nearly enough clarity for that) but he would search and search and search until he found them, found someone. And perhaps it was fortunate that his mind was stuck on that track; not on a war path as last time, he had no intention of seeking people out for the purpose of destruction, and in fact, he was more inclined to ignore any and everyone he passed.
So long as they did not get in his way.
