Warnings: Miroku had punch and isn't feeling well. Youma? Rei's over protection.
Summary: Rei goes and finds Miroku home and ill. She tries to find out the reason due to his illness.

It wasn't good. Miroku was steadily feeling worse as each minute passed. Falling down on all fours, he gasped as he clutched at his chest. What was this feeling? Was the void about to suck him up finally? Was he ... dying?

Even though he had no idea what was happening to him, somehow, he knew that he wasn't dying. It was something else. His vision blurred a little as he struggled to remain conscious. His body was burning from head to toe and he felt a sharp pain spread from his feet upwards.

There was something very wrong indeed. And it wasn't because he was dying or sick.

When he heard Rei calling from the entrance of their house, he struggled to his feet, calling back to warn her to stay away. "Rei-dono! Stay away!"

Stepping into the home, Rei brings her head back hearing Miroku's call. The atmosphere around here felt thickening. Ignoring his warning, she proceeded in.

He said he had something that made him ill maybe. Thinking back at the ball, she remembered the people there, and what they ate. Nothing wasn't adding up. Her feet echoes taking each step towards where he is. Coming closer to him the atmosphere feels as if it's closing in. Almost like a sickening feeling. Rei tries not to express what she's feeling, especially bad omens. This one was getting there.

Rei came in dressed in her school uniform. Her eyes looked worried watching Miroku struggling to his feet. "Miroku!" Rei begins. "What's wrong?"

Miroku gritted his teeth in pain. He should have known that she wouldn't have listened. He glanced down at his body and gasped as he noticed his flesh morphing into something ... inhuman.

"Rei-dono!" He looked up at her fearfully as she approached closer and closer. "Get away! Hurry!" Whatever he was turning into, Miroku did not want Rei to be there to find out.

After seeing Miroku's post, he dashed toward the place where he knew the monk was staying. Hopefully he'd be able to find the monk's lady friend -who he hadn't met yet- and protect her from whatever was distressing his friend. Upon arriving at their place, he lunged out toward Rei in hopes of preventing some kind of disaster.

"Rei!" He called out, dashing toward her and whipping his hand out to catch her wrist and stop her from approaching Miroku. Kakashi then jumped out in front of the girl, putting his arm out in front of her as a signal to stop coming near.

He turned to face the monk, watching as he began to transform into a creature that Kakashi had never beheld before.

Stepping in Rei's face turns pale surprised to see Miroku beginning to transform. She lifts one hand up just below her chin shaking. This was all to familiar to her, even the dark energy. "Miroku...kun.." How, how can she get away. She couldn't leave him.

Hearing her name called behind her. The girl turns her head behind to see. The next thing she knew it, someone just grabbed her wrist. Looking forward again, she saw a silver hair man standing in between herself and Miroku. Rei obviously didn't know who this guy is. Her lifted hand turns to a fist. Worried of the man's safty, the girl throws her arm a side, "get away!"

"He's..." she looks back to Miroku leering, then to Kakashi. "-Turning into a youma!"
