… oh, Angeal was pissed. He wasn’t a man prone to-what-overwhelming displays of emotion, either outwardly or inwardly, but then-then he was feeling like that was rather the appropriate thing to do. The only thing to do, perhaps, for the quiet (and not so quiet) rage that settled around him. Because of them; those idiots who would never know when enough was enough, would never be able to recognize when they crossed lines that could not (and would not) be ignored.

It’d been some time since then-nothing incredibly long, mainly enough for Angeal to have had one other conversation and then head back to the place he was sharing with Genesis-but Angeal’s feelings didn’t die down any. They wouldn’t, perhaps, on something like this. Teasing Genesis on his gender (which was actually Angeal’s doing, but that was another matter entirely) had been one thing, but for them to-talks of animals and puppets and benefits ha d been just a little too much.

(He would not abide that, Angeal. Could not. After everything he had gone through, everything ( ... )

Genesis sighed. Weary. Frustrated. Not entirely there. She sat back slowly, a few stray bits of paper blowing away in the breeze. One hand snapped the book shut and set it aside. "Does anything really ever change," she murmured, more to herself than anything. Though, really, she knew for a fact that things changed. People changed. She changed.

Perhaps just not Turks.

Her eyes lifted to the sky. Funny... she actually missed seeing blue, clouds, sunlight, stars, moon... Ah, the little things taken for granted. Never miss it 'til it's gone. But that would change, eventually. Wouldn't it? They'd be able to leave this dismal city and go to the one above. Promises of luxuries she so sorely missed put her at ease, just a little. A real bed, shower, food... again, all the things one took for granted ( ... )

-change. Now there was a subject. Something not pinned down by any rules, what did or what didn’t and why and how and-some things did, some things didn’t. The only lessons Angeal had ever been able to hold solid with that were the ones that said sometimes it was inevitable and what was most important remained ( ... )

There was a moment where Genesis thought to argue with him, but... what good would it do? And did she really care? She, too, would go out and find a job, try to be more useful to him. Something needed to be done, did it not?

"As you wish," was all she replied at first, rising to her feet and dusting off the paper bits clinging to her pants and coat. The injury from a few days prior was more than plenty healed (Genesis had always healed so quickly; especially with Angeal's delicate care this time around). It no longer bothered her save for once in awhile if she twisted just the wrong way, and even then it was only a minor irritation.

She gazed forward, studying the neighboring homes, the sky and the ground and the slivers of light seeping through from the upper level plates overhead. And then she turned to look at Angeal, gaze soft. "...I'll find one, too."
