Mille, however, was on the completely opposite end of the spectrum. She didn't mind being a woman (aside from the bit of clumsiness she was learning to deal with at having such an odd, skewed center of gravity), and in fact spent several minutes that morning admiring herself in the mirror. She had breasts! And they were quite nice ones, too, if she did say so herself ( ... )

When Kurogane heard the doorknob rattling, that it was Mille was exactly what he thought. His eyes narrowed and he was up within five seconds, stalking across the room to take ahold of the doorknob. “Go the hell away!” he yelled, glaring at the door as though he was glaring at Mille himself. (Himself!)

Why the hell was it so hard for Mille to grasp the humiliation and aggravation of this situation? Tch. Not that the other being all thrilled and happy was a surprise, but-still.

Success! While Kurogane was busy yelling at the door, Mille was hauling open the window quietly and crawling her way inside. Toki-san continued his hopping about and doorknob rattling, looking rather confused as to why he was being tethered to the door. (He'd likely chew through his leash in a few moments.)

The knight didn't speak until she had one leg through the window and on the floor, and she was drawing her other in after her with her hands gripping the window frame for balance. "Mou, Kuro-chan, it's not nice to yell at Toki-san like that~"

… and for a moment then, Kurogane was very, very confused.

(What the-but that-but he-goddamnit.)

Kurogane whirled around fast enough, though, staring at Mille in something between shock and anger. He did not speak until his brain could process what just happened, and then the best he could come up with was, “You-!”

(But, he probably should have expected something like that, huh? Yeah, he definitely should have. And that bit of knowledge just annoyed him more, but-aah. Wasn’t like there was much he could do about it now!)
