i watch pink rivers flow outside my door
hope moving to the sound of honking horns.
there is a man in a hot dog costume across the street-
he waves to fanny pack wearers.
everyone cheers. these people believe-
a thousand pairs of feet can make a difference.
- from my window i watch people walk for a' cure to breast cancer. between all the people on the side walks of 13, and the people gathered at the meijer parking lot pit stop and the high school pit stop I estimate over a thousand. it makes me happy.
