Leo was THRILLED!!!
While the tickets said to arrive about an hour before our scheduled departure time, traveling with a 3-week old James was challenging. Although we left with 45 minutes to spare, that had been eaten up by James needing to nurse during the drive. When we arrived at the train station, we had just enough time to jump onto our train and off we went!
Leo had been asleep in the car, so he still looks a little disoriented.
We planned out the other activities we wanted to see once we had finished our ride
After being such a fuss bucket, James slept in his car seat for the rest of our outing
After our train ride, we stood on line for about 10 minutes to get the boys' picture taken with Thomas
They're holding hands! Awww
As we headed back to the station, a REAL train went by
There was a little carnival set up on the side and the boys explored nearly everything
Bubbles!
A better picture
Since we were only about 15 min away, we headed to my grandparents' house and spent the rest of the afternoon swimming in the pool. This was the day that Ben learned to actually swim and was able to go sans life jacket in the deep end! This has been very helpful in our own pool this summer as he can jump and dive and swim around all by himself.
James got to meet my grandfather and grandmother, as well as cousins, aunts, and uncles
