Happy Thanksgiving Photos!

I am going out of my mind with hunger now that Jake has heated up some enchiladas for lunch. Mmmm yummy leftovers!!

Here are some photos from our Thanksgiving day extravaganza.  It was all delicious and I'm SO GLAD that I'm in the 'meat packing' stage of pregnancy that I could eat and eat and eat. I was one happy pregnant lady.

Ben has a special place in his heart for his grandpas.  All the time he would go up to my dad and say "Grumpa? Da balloons? And da fire?  Hot!  OK" and happily climb up on Dad's lap to watch the slideshow of our pictures from the hot air balloon festival back in October.
Dad, of course, was happy to snuggle with the little boy and point out balloons.  "Oooohhh!" they would say.  "Wow!"

The best part about the holidays and having people visit is that we get to break out all our special china and wine glasses. Such a pretty table.

Ben was pretty cranky all week from his cold, but thankfully was doing better on Thursday.  We also started giving him a little antihistamine to help dry up his post-nasal drip and that helped quiet his coughing a lot.
So dapper in his sweater vest.  Is it bad that I'd dress him preppy for the rest of his life if he'd let me?

Mmmm FOOD

David gives it his approval.
We had brined then roasted turkey, homemade gravy, sweet potatoes (with marshmallow topping), mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, and breadmaker yeast rolls.  I had seconds, yes I did. For dessert there was pumpkin pie, apple-cranberry pie, and a hazelnut-chocolate cheesecake.

Ben only wanted the roll.  He devoured it before the rest of us even sat down.

We're going to to try to take our annual Christmas card photo at Thanksgiving.  Unfortunately, there were a lot of outtakes.

I think this is the one we're going to use.  At least we're all looking in (somewhat) the right direction!

On Black Friday, instead of shopping, we set up our holiday decorations.
Jake is taller than this tree, which makes putting the topper on very easy.

My Nana asked me how many 'Baby's 1st Christmas' ornaments we were given last year.
I said, 'Oh two or three, I think'.  There were FOUR (plus one that needs a picture still).  FOUR!?!?!
