The spitter-upper

OMG the spit-up.  OMG the curdled milk.  OMG the amount that he spits up!  It makes me think that he's losing everything from the feeding and that he's going to starve.  OMG the laundry!!!

I'm pretty tired of laundry.

This spit-up problem has only happened in the past 2 days.  So it's something we're growing into or something to do with diet or the fact that my nipples are no longer uber-cracked.

I've been looking up overactive letdown reflex and regurgitation in newborns and reflux.  I think it's a combo of air getting stuck in his belly and causing cramps, really fast letdown at the beginning of a side, and slower letdown later on that makes him frustrated and pull off.  Fussy baby at the breast = no fun for anyone.

But really if spit-up is the only real problem I have, I should thank my lucky stars.  We weighed him today by stepping on and off the scale while holding or not holding him.  It seems that he's around 9 1/2 lbs so something is going right.

Jake and Ben took a bath together tonight and Jake got pooped on.  Like massive, ginormous poop-splosion.  I felt bad.  Jake said he didn't mind but I'm not sure he was telling the truth.

Will update more later.  Lots to write about.
