DAD IS BEING MOVED HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL TODAY!!!!
I can't believe he's moved so fast. I guess the docs suggested the end of this week as a possibility and once Dad heard that, he was set on it. He's walking 150 feet at a time, unassisted-- the rehab docs wanted him to be able to walk 50 feet unassisted before he could go home.
A ramp has been built in the garage so that he can get in with his wheelchair.
He took a real shower the other day for the first time in over 6 weeks.
He can get himself up and out of bed and into his walker on his own, and also out of a chair (provided it's not too low) on his own as well.
A hospital bed is coming to the house today to be setup and Mom is clearing out his hospital room of cards and magazines and everything.
I can't believe that when I go home next Friday there will be no more hospital visit because Dad will be at his own house!!! :-D
