Astoria had only just got home minutes ago and was still in the process of unpacking her bag (piling up the things that needed to be sent off with the house elves for washing) when her fireplace flared up and a familiar face appeared.

"Well, hello, stranger," she smiled languidly, tossing aside the pair of leather cuffs she had just grabbed and hitching up her corset as she straightened up.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Something about the younger Greengrass made her feel so rebellious in a crazy sort of way. She'd always thought she was the crazy one but then along came Astoria growing up the wrong way and taking the cake.

It was pretty awesome.

"Hello lovely," Pansy grinned, wanting to kiss her but kind of wondering who where she'd been with. She settled for an air kiss on her cheek.

"Needed an escape, figured you could help my need..." she tossed her hair lightly over her shoulder and gave Astoria a shrug.

Astoria raised a smug sort of eyebrow at Pansy's rather transparent hesitation. She really never did get tired of the way people responded to her sometimes, particularly when they tried to pretend they weren't responding in any particular way.

"Oh, I see how it is, then," she sighed, flicking her own hair over her shoulder as she turned away to dip back into her bag. "It's clear that my company is only ever called upon when specific benefits are needed." Though it was obviously quite true, that sarcasm still dripped from her words as Astoria stood back up, a small bag of sparkling powder clutched between her fingers.

Pansy's eyes narrowed and she smirked. Astoria had her assets... Well, in many ways.

"How kind of you to offer," she exclaimed, all the niceties dripping from her voice. On a serious note she added, "But you know how the Parkinsons get before their first cocktails sink in. This is an emergency Tori."

"Mmhm," Astoria hummed playfully, "that's what you said last time." She kept a straight accusatory face a barely just a second before splitting into a teasing, up-to-no-good grin.

She strutted across her room to her dresser, kicking her shoes off along the way (knocking a solid six inches off her height mid-step). She slyly pulled the top drawer open and fished out a well-worn hand mirror and a barely-just-dulled razor blade.

"What kind of friend would I be to deny my services to someone in need?" she said, tossing the complete kit onto her bed and motioning for Pansy to have at it.

Pansy eyed Astoria, and felt instantly more comfortable when she was down to normal size. Small, petite Astoria, underfoot where she belonged.

She settled herself on Astoria's bed, razor blade already in hand.

"So tell me about your adventures from last night. Any good parties?"

Astoria rolled her eyes as she reached around her own back to loosen the ties of her corset, showing not even the tiniest bit of shame as she stripped herself down to just a sheer bra and high-waisted skirt ( ... )

Pansy hadn't been paying attention, so when she looked up and saw Astoria dressed down she gave a little smirk. There was the girl she's watch Daphne shoo out of slumber parties, the girl she'd guarded and guided through the castle. Now she was fulfilling sexual fantasies of the United Kingdom's horniest... Not like she needed the money. Without Daphne at home she probably had more money than she could ask for.

Astoria was making a statement, and Pansy thought it was hilarious.

"Not bad, the minister has been treating me well," she mused lightly, falling back against her fluffy pillows. "They gave me a long break for the holidays as they're in Paris."

They were probably hiding from the burning man. She sort of wanted to hide with them from the burning mad Parkinson's.

"Running off scared, more like," Astoria said with obvious disdain. This whole situation had, as far as she was concerned, been blown entirely out of proportion. A few dead bodies (people that weren't even worth fussing over, at that) and suddenly everyone was cowering away and baricading themselves in their homes. "Pathetic."

She stretched herself out on her stomach across her bed, stacking a neat line of shimmering powder down the middle of the hand mirror before tipping her head down to meet it. Nothing like a little morning dust flight after a long night.

Pansy watched Astoria effortlessly intake the dragon dust, and she wondered if it was just the corset or if she actually kind of admired this girl.

She shook her head, rolling her green eyes. "At least they get to get away for the holidays," she sighed wistfully. I honestly will pick up and go if they have another row tomorrow. Every year I come home, try to do the right thing..." Every year since you know who was gone, and her father was let out of Azkaban. It wasn't something they talked about.

He'd only been out for a couple of years but the hardship it had taken on her parents seemed irreversible.

"Not everyone's as lucky as Daphne with her prince ready to whisk her away at any moment..."

Not at all bitter.

Astoria couldn't help rolling her eyes just a little bit at the mention of her sister and her ever-so-sickeningly sweet relationship. For the sake of continuing to tick off their mother she would always be the first to defend them, but had it been anyone other than her sister, she wouldn't have bothered toning down her disgust at the whole fairy tale-ness of it all.

She rolled over onto her back, her pupils flashing red as she turned her gaze to the ceiling, sighing contently as the dust took hold.

"Don't sound so bitter, Pans, it doesn't suit you," she said languidly, smiling slyly at the older girl. "And certainly you know that you can always pop over here when the chaos at yours gets too overbearing. Mumsy would even be glad to have you around. I think she's under the impression that you'd be a good influence in me," she added with a tinkling laugh.

"What is it now that she thinks you're doing all the time?" Pansy laughed, genuinely curious. "Working overtime?"

Pansy ran well manicured fingers through her hair, and it cascaded around her face. The waves in her hair smelled cinnamon-y and light.

"When are you moving out? You certainly can afford it."

Astoria shrugged, reaching a hand up above her and spreading her fingers to let the light from the ornate chandelier hanging from the ceiling peek through. She found the effect oddly entrancing...

"Honestly, I have no idea what she thinks. Most likely that I'm just out clubbing all night or something. Which is only partly true," she laughed, rolling over again back onto her stomach.

"I haven't really thought about it much. I do sort of get a laugh out of knowing that my still being here drives the woman nuts, so why rush it?" she smiled wickedly.

She couldn't blame we for wanting to piss off mum and dad, but when did that act ever get old? Maybe she was biased but getting out had always been her number one concern.

"I am sure you drive her crazy," she winked at Astoria affectionately. "You always had a wild streak after all. Hence why I know I can count on you!" Pansy lightly motioned to the dust, planting a kiss on little A's cheek. "Mwah! You're the best!"

"So what are we doing today sistah??"

Astoria smiled despite the roll of her eyes at Pansy's adorable little show of affection. "I know," she shrugged innocently, a slyly smug little smile teasing at her lips.

"Wellll, I was originally planning to pull the curtains and sleep all day, but I imagine you and the magic dragon here," she indicated the leftover bag next to them, "won't be letting that happen, will you?" She sighed dramatically, laying a comedic hand across her forehead and falling back against the mound of pillows. "I suppose I'll sleep when I'm dead."

"Nuh uh," Pansy grinned, getting up to push the curtains further open. "Unless you're kicking me out?"

She placed a well rehearsed pout on her face, her little nose turned up at the thought.

"Let's go terrorize someone like the good old days." A wistful and nostalgic smile formed on her face, as though she were reminiscing about a holiday tradition.
