::Well, Shikou, you're in luck! There's some music playing from the other side of the curtain, a slightly disturbing little number in G-minor. Perhaps it feels fitting, even; the Obsidian Lord being introduced by such music amongst the regal and gothic set pieces laid out just behind the curtain.::
::From the sounds of it, the music is coming from the empty orchestra pit, just in front of what would be the audience area, but in this case is a large, outwardly curved pane of glass from the floor to the ceiling, with a old fashioned cozy rocking chair outside, to which the glass only could expose the legs and edge of the seat.::
::The unwatched set pieces move with a hushed racket as the music begins the final stanza, and unseen lights shine down upon the curtain... and Shikou.::
::The curtains open to a castle backdrop, and the music changes to a waltz. Something takes Shikou's hand and begins to lead him in dance. He could swear it's a woman with long dark hair, but his eyes see no one there.::
::Likewise, there are several other pairs dancing, but other than the hushed footsteps, there's no one to be seen.::
::It's hard to say, but at least it's a peaceful and lovely waltz.::
::...or was, before the music suddenly shifts, and it feels like everyone is running away, while the woman you were dancing with is pulled away from the other direction.::
::Should Shikou pull back with shock, he'll feel something bump by his leg, embedded in a piece of scenery... something both familiar and foreboding.::
::I'm surprised he didn't know what it was immediately, being the Obsidian Lord and all.::
::Allusions aside, Shikou bumps into that blasted sword, unsheathed and ready to be put to use. Against WHAT, however, is the question. Considering the music, it could be a variety of things.::
::However, should Shikou grab the sword, he'll turn back and see that what he's facing are featureless life-sized dolls, each carrying an equally featureless weapon. There's one towards the back that is roughly twice the size, carrying something like a massive club.::
*... he grabs it, half out of the fact that the thing should not be lying around like that, and half because he feels a sense of urgency.
And good thing he did, too. These dolls don't exactly look very friendly, now do they. He readies his stance, an idle thought concerning the fact that he isn't wearing the gloves he got made for this on-hand passing through his mind.*
*He realizes very quickly that they're uncoordinated, taking instead to try to force his way through, using the blade as a means to stop any attacks at his self. He seems to be trying hard to not just default to wild and unpolished, himself, but he tries to find openings in the attacking group in order to take down each one-- or at least try to get away from creatures that are prone to attacking.*
::While they don't seem to really be stopped by just slamming them around, they do seem to eventually wander offstage. This gives Shikou time to notice that the stage itself has change, more worn with time, as well as being subtly 'off' in other ways.::
::Well, there is backstage, but that could be questionable... and it's where the dolls ran off to.::
::There's in front of the stage, either in the pit with the lone conductor there, or in the small side areas where the audience seats would normally start.::
However, once he gets to this alleyway, this door, he pauses once he feels like he isn't being chased anymore... Looking around, wondering.
Where did this place come from? ... and why did the door close out of nowhere?*

He does check though, stepping out beyond the curtain, giving a wary look at the set pieces. Just where is that music coming from...?*

However, he's very confused. And somewhat disturbed.*
... Just what in the world is going on here...?

He's even more shocked about the bumping into his leg. He dares a look to see just what in the world he moved into.*

He should find somewhere a bit safer than something so open, like this stage.*
