FAIL!

Small towns. You love them and you hate them. You love being able to go into the grocery store and tell the butcher you need something and he'll have it to you quick. You love knowing everyone and having the people know you and feeling safe letting your kids roam around the grocery store while you shop, knowing they won't get kidnapped on you. You hate the remoteness of the town, hate having to drive for 4 hours just to get anywhere. You hate the limitedness of the social activities.

Well, here's my new hate. This is day 2 WITH NO WATER! Well, that's not entirely true. If you open the taps a little bit will leak out, but there's no pressure. You can't have a shower. You can barely wash your hands. The water went away yesterday morning while I was making breakfast. I didn't think to much about it until James brought Aislyn home from school at 10 am. The school had been trying to call me, but I'd accidentally turned the ringer off on the phone when I was checking my voice mail earlier in the day. The water came back on at 11:45 am, so it wasn't so bad. I was able to make dinner and give Liam a bath.

James went to have a shower this morning and discovered that, once again, we had no water. So I called the school at 8:15 to see if there would be classes. I was told the school was open, so I got the kids ready and took Aislyn to school. We got there and learned that, nope! no classes today. ARRRRRRRRRRGH!

Not that the walk to school is long since it's just down the street, but still! Aislyn was so upset that she cried most of the way back home. I hope it'll be like yesterday when the water came back on soon enough because I have cleaning to do that, funnily enough, requires the use of water, such as mopping my sticky kitchen floor and doing laundry.
