Dream - Left Hand to Lazarus
I dreamt I died and my body was being prepared for the spirit realm. I don't know who was responsible for my death; maybe it was the grim reaper hovering over me. The entity had enough spiritual strength to guide my soul out and leave the body behind. I remember the reaper observing my corpse, saying something along the lines of, "We're going to take your Left hand." They revealed an old wooden saw and tore through my skin. I felt vibrations in my wrist and could hear the serrated blade digging into flesh and bone. At first, the saw felt rough, like cutting burnt toast; the noise eventually muffled and became moist, like slicing an apple. I didn't cry, but I remember my left hand growing dull as this happened. When I examined my arm, the bone and muscles were exposed as a clean cut, but the hand was gone.
I remember the reaper saying, "This hand will go to Lazarus." I didn't understand what it meant, but I recall the reptition of that name and thought my hand was of significant sacrifice. The reaper sent me to an area similar to metro trains and subway cars, prompting me to explore. Instead of having station stops, this place provided pathways for spirits to venture between the living world and life-after. I asked one of the passerby's why my left hand was removed and they informed me it became my access to unlimited-travel. To my understanding, spirits were only allowed one ressurection and for some reason, I missed that window to communicate my situation with anyone living. I may have died again immediately after revival - the entire process was overwhelming and my body gave up on itself due to shock. My left hand was removed a second time and I remained in this realm as a spirit.
Even though I could easily roam the planet through this transit-dimension, I could only exist as an invisible ghost to observe the living. In order to communicate and interact with people who were still alive on Earth, I needed to locate their subconscious and enter their dream space. I tried finding my friends to tell them what was going on: I knew I had died (twice now) and was going to remain a ghost from this point forward. I worried that no one would believe me if I appeared in dreamland. "This is a long shot. I doubt they'll listen to their dreams, but Please Listen to Me." I needed everyone to know that I wouldn't return to them the same way as before. I accepted myself in this phantom state, but I don't know if they were ready to accept my metamorphosis.

I'm thinking my mind is preparing me for the next chapter in life with such an intense vision. When I heard the name Lazarus, I was compelled to revisit the biblical passage where Lazarus had died and been resurrected. Some highlighted excerpts from the book of John:
11:04* When he heard this, Jesus said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it.
11:09-11* Jesus Answered, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees this world's light. It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, for he has no light." After he had said this,, he went on to tell them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up."
11:42* I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, so that they may believe that you sent me."
