Aubrey Macdonald
Aubrey Angus Macdonald is the son of Lachlan Macdonald, of the Sleat Macdonalds, and Alana Macdonald (nee Clayton). Aubrey looks a lot like his mother.
The Sleats are a cadet branch of Clan Donald, certainly wealthy but nowhere near as rich and powerful as say the Clanrannald Donalds, and Lachlan in particular is often looked down upon by his cousins and family. He is deeply concerned with appearances and constantly hard done by; nothing is ever his own fault. Which means it’s often Aubrey's.
The family branch is involved in textiles, both production and distribution, supplying fashion houses and other businesses. Lachlan, however, is more of a predatory small business investor, and lets Alana deal with the family business.
Aubrey is an only child, despite his parents’ attempts for at least “an heir and a spare” which increases the pressure on Aubrey to conform.
Aubrey is taking Charms, Defence against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Herbology, and History of Magic for his N.E.W.Ts. He isn’t a stand out student in any of them, though he is a superb duellist.
Being at school with so many werewolves made him a little uncomfortable to start with, but it’s been years and they all always take their wolfsbane on time and leave for the moons, so he’s (mostly) over it. If they’re not causing trouble, he sees no reason to invite it.
