Last night was awesome. I met Crispin Glover for the second time. This time he was at the Oriental Theatre in Milwaukee (he said it was probably the most beautiful venue he'd ever done a presentation/showing at), and it was awesome. Last time I met him, it was in Chicago and he was narrating for the amazing silent film "Brand Upon the Brain", and this time he was showing the second movie in his "It" trilogy (the first of which I haven't seen, but they stand alone, all being very different from each other). It was a trip. My favourite parts were his slideshow/reading of his books that he always does when showing his films (he's so passionate and expressive), and the Q&A at the end of the movie (the movie itself was very strange, being the sexual fantasies of a man with cerebral palsy acted out in graphic detail...yeah), where audience members got to ask questions, and he's not very concise at all, but it's adorable how tangenital he is, and enthusiastic about discussing his work. He mentioned "Alice in Wonderland" and I started an applause that caught on ^_^. We got there at 7 and were there till almost 1 AM. I'm so glad he's so dedicated and available to his fans; everyone who wanted to go at least 5 minutes to talk with him, ask questions, get things signed and take photos with him. He's a darling, brilliant man, and I'm so glad I got the chance to meet him again (this time for only $18). I really enjoyed the experience, and I look forward to the next time I get to see him. He's really a trip, and such a nice guy. So passionate about his work, and so willing to talk to people. He rocks.
This time he's actually kind of smiling, whereas last time...
...I thought he just looked blank, albeit still quite attractive. He also had a better haircut, this time. I told him happy birthday, as Tuesday was his 46th (Hitler's b-day, also). Does this man look 46 to you? I don't think he ages...we've got another vampire, boys and ghouls! :P
So, yes. This time when we shook hands (twice XD), I was wearing my little lace glovelettes, and so now the Crispiny goodness will linger, long after I've washed my hand, haha. I'm a dork, I know. But I don't care, I met one of my heroes for the second time, last night *dances*.
