So, remember that one time, over a year ago, that we were in the Java House with Ginny and there was a guy sitting alone and drawing pictures...? And at first when Merit asked him for one, he wouldn't give it to her, but then just before he left, he gave all four of us one picture each? Mine is a sketch of some person who was at the next table, working on a laptop. I didn't throw it away, because he told me not to. Well, I just found it in some papers, and I was looking at the name, "Matt Wiegand". And that name is totally listed on the order from the Best of No Shame from last winter. I was there, but I don't remember his piece at all, and somehow the fact that this random person we met in the Java House was in No Shame months later stikes me as oddly coincidental--even though probably everyone who's ever in the Java House goes to No Shame. Anyway, that's pretty cool.
Also, my dad found a Jack Johnson CD on the ground in Madison. It only has one song on it, Breakdown, but it's really good, and at some point Merit's mom came over to get the rat cage or something and she heard it and was like "Jack Johnson, eh?". I think my parents would probably never recognize any music of mine. Whatevs
... Today I put up some oldish "paintings" (which were created without the use of any white paint) on my walls and taped 12 colorful tongue-depressors to my clock so it looks like a sun. Now my room is so interesting!
