Tiredness has plagued me today, luckily I managed to concentrate for long enough in my driving lesson, which went well. Have to wait two weeks until my next one, *insert random curse here*. Friday night was random and paticularly enjoyable, and I successfully averted a major clashing of personalities as well. Some friends just do not mix, and you should never attempt to try, especially when drugs are involved. Damn those drugs.
Saturday I joined Dean and Matt along with Anthea for a road trip down to Bournemouth, we only got as far as Dean's house before we realised we wouldn't be back in time for Club Motherfucker, so we left the happy couple to drive down on their own and we spent the day feeding the ducks (and also many a dirty, filthy pigeon, including a disabled brown one) and eating cocktail sausage sandwiches at a quite cold Hampstead Heath. We then ventured in to Soho, but not before having a browse at Forbidden Planet and then popping in to see Sheila at Virgin. G-A-Y bar was a bit boring as usual but I like watching the music videos. You really do not know what to expect next. Bucks Fizz with an awful drum clashing creation were a highlight. Cheryl Baker is a right mover. It wasn't long before we went to the Conservatory Bar and succeeded at losing pathetically at the quiz machine.
Motherfucker was fun, I wished I wasn't so exhaused from friday night. It's strange being surrounded by drunk folk when you are not, I didn't feel like drinking at all. Saw a couple of bands that I liked, both from Canada. The Organ and Lesbians on Ecstasy. I fancied the lead singer of The Organ until I realised, when they spoke, that they were female. Colour me confused. Lesbians on Ecstasy were loud and fast and totally crazy, but I enjoyed them a lot. If I was pissed I probably would have wet my pants. They had real energy, and there was some definate moshing. I also witnessed the ever funny event of a random audience member getting thrown into the air to crowd surf, only to fall fast and land immediately on their head.
So, good times all round! Tomorrow I must go into St Albans and secure a job. By any means neccesary. My usual tactic of going and hiding in unhealthy friendships just doesn't appeal to me anymore, things have changed.
