Ben couldn't lie and say the Gryffindor's gossip page hadn't bothered him. For some reason, he'd never even thought of picturing Blodwyn as a slut. It sounded ridiculous to him still.

But hey, a little spying couldn't hurt could it? It might come off as cute, or something. Yeah, sure. Benjamin peeked down, trying to see if she was there.

Blodwyn had just seen the page and she couldn't say she wasn't angry. She had been spending a lot of time in the commons lately and now she sat close to the fireplace, jabbing her wand fuiriously into the air to produce sparks and fizzling lights.

Ben finally walked over to her, and sat down. "What's new?"

She glanced at him, mid-poke in the air to produce a stream of angry purple bubbles. "You tell me," she said bitterly. Blodwyn knew she was supposed to be sarcastic and dismissive about the whole thing but she couldn't help feeling upset.

It was then that Ben decided that it all wasn't true. He hugged her, pushing her wand arm down first so that he wouldn't get bubbled. Benjamin knew it wasn't exactly manly to hug, but he just figured Blodwyn needed one.

Blodwyn wasn't a hug person at all. She prided herself on having been a very independant baby, toddler, and child.

This hug, however, was quite a bit nicer than the ones she'd experienced.

Awkwardly, she tightened her arms around him, burying her face into his shoulder. She wasn't crying, but all of a sudden her shoulders started to shake in laughter. Merlin, I am going insane, she thought, but that only caused her shoulders to shake harder.

Her shaking kind of scared him... he looked down, but didn't hear any crying... wait, was that laughter? Benjamin was really confused. "You okay?" he asked, the only think to ask.

Blodwyn couldn't help giggling more at his expression. "I'm fine," she murmured between a few more bouts of laughter. She calmed down a bit, finally, and smiled at him. "Thank you," she said sincerely.

With his confused look now came a bit of a smile. He studied her, quite intrigued. "Well... you're welcome." Ben waited for her to say something.

Blodwyn shifted to more comfortably lean against him. "So," she murmured, "what's really up?"

"I really just wanted to check to make sure that bitch didn't hurt you," Ben told her honestly. "I read all those lies online."

In the back of his mind, he was hoping together, as a couple, they could get back at that scrawny bitch.

Blodwyn shrugged. "Well, as long as you don't believe her," she answered, biting her lip and not voicing the other, quickly dismissed, thought that entered her mind.

She paused. "Of course, most of the girls here don't mind being called a slut," she sniffed. "Half the girls on the list are nothing but."

"I know you're a lady," Ben reminded her with a raised eyebrow, seeing that she obviously was at least a little hurt, which comforted him.

"That Gryffindor even listed herself, didn't she?" he scoffed.

She smiled again. It was an unusually smiley day for her, but she then rolled her eyes. "Poor girl," she said dryly. "I don't understand how someone could enjoy a title like that."

Ben liked making her smile. Secretly he felt like he was really good at it. "It's all she has," he reminded her sadly.

He was nice, and warm, and she couldn't help but snuggle up a bit more. Shaking her head, Blodwyn sighed, "They should start up a fundraising foundation for that sort of thing."

"Sickles for sluts," he mused aloud, holding her closer to him.
