The Calm Before the Storm

* Complete Places to Write list
In spite of my assurance that I am a Planner, not a Pantser, I confess there is a caveat: I'm also one of those who does better right before a deadline. With NaNoWriMo just two weeks away, I've done little more than daydream about characters, play out possible scenarios in my head, and prettify my various online accounts.
But that's all part of the fun, isn't it? Before the chaos begins, there's still just a little time for the laid back, soft anticipation.
But play time is nearing an end, and if I'm going to conquer this to do list I'm going to have to start some balls rolling. First thing will be character profiles and start compiling my survival kit. I also need to square away any writing groups, teams, and gather my writing buddies on the NaNoWriMo forums. That's something I don't want to be distracted with at the last moment.
But today, there's still just a little time. So I'm going to look for NaNo-themed wallpapers and play with banner and avatar ideas. And then I'm going to shut off the computer, make a cup of tea, and enjoy a good book. Then I'll go to sleep early to dream little dreams of tomorrow.
