Longbottom, and now Potter. If they don't raise the standards, the combined brainlessness is going to begin dragging the rest of us down as well.

Well well well... what have we here? You have exceptionally high standards, or just don't like a lot of people? Either way, you have the sound of a particularly affluent young lad... not unlike some of the brats in the Imperial Council... though I doubt you've had much experience, given your age just from the sound of your voice.

[Yes, Kefka is totally addressing an object just to the left of Draco, his rune-engraved dagger held with the blade flat against his arm, just to make himself feel more secure wandering around whilst blind.]

[Kefka's eyebrow twitches slightly, adjusting his sightless gaze to better address Draco]

Only while under the penalties of this damnable city... it seems they didn't take a liking to my actions recently... lightning striking many of the insignificant police that so presumptuously tried to arrest me for being superior to them... others impaled on spears of never-thawing ice... still others reduced to ashes with but a flick of the wrist and sudden burst of flames later... mmm... good times. However, I think it a pretty pathetic display of "power" if temporary blindness and powerlessness is the best they can do... regardless... you never answered my question, my fine young lad.

Oh where are my manners? [Kefka grins as he bows low] I, my dear boy, am Kefka Palazzo, High Court Mage of the Gesthalian Empire. May I inquire as to who I speak to?

[He thinks you are a freak. But a frightening one with a knife, so he just drawls out his reply.] Draco Malfoy.

[Kefka grins, twirling his knife as he straightens up.]

A pleasure, master Malfoy... I would dearly like to get to know you better in the future, once my magic has returned to me along with my sight.

[Holding his wand.] And why's that?

[Kefka smirks, still twirling his dagger idlly]

Because, dear boy, we both have a lot to learn from each other.

[More boldly now.] Don't look much like a wizard. Where's your wand?

Aha, but I'm not a wizard... I am a mage, I do not require the use of a wand for my magic. I have even ascended to the point that I do not even need incantations... the elements bend to my mere thoughts. Of course, right now, my dagger here is my only defense, being magicless and sightless... but I assure you, my dagger is quite enough to defend myself with.

Ah, what I would give that I could show you... it would please me more than anything else to be honest. However, though i am sightless and magicless for the time being, my dagger still retains all of its magical properties... if you wish to test my story, you'll have to settle with my dagger for now.

[Kefka grins, the twirling blade stopping so as to point in Draco's general direction, the runes engraved on the flat of the blade glowing softly.]

Go ahead, cast any spell. It doesn't matter how strong, or what it does. You don't even have to cast it on me.

[Ah, but he does aim for you, with a bit of a smirk. Have a spell with the effect of making your legs dance uncontrolably.]

[Kefka's grin widens as the blade in his hand flares slightly, but otherwise is unaffected by the spell.]

An interesting spell, to be sure, but I'm afraid you'll have to do better than that to phase me. [chuckle]
