I have moved slightly forward on my 17 object living room to do list. This morning I managed to make a pattern, and get cut out three pre-shrunk sofa pillow covers and one bodice for an 18-inch doll Carnival/candomble goddess dress, out of white linen and its scraps.
Rachel has patiently been waiting, in the jeans and t shirt I made her, for two years.
Now she's going to get a white linen candomble dress with the old lace I unearthed in the great move west. And cowry/star of the sea/feather/sequin-ass jewelry. And a huge white lace head wrap.
But first I need to figure out how to make 20 feet of white linen piping.
http://whipstitchfabrics.com/blog/continuous-bias-tape-tutorial/ Despite the fact they're shipping from LA, 10 yards of optic white mid-weight linen at $7+ a yard is more than $100 cheaper than the schlock the fabric stores here in Macondo have for sale. Holy crap.

Like this, make a white pleather cushion cover for the fake Bertoia chair.
