(no subject)
I got tattooed tonight: a pink lotus in the center of my chest, with kanji above it that reads, "Although inexpensive, this dish is tasty." A friend of mine at work is Japanese and translated the sentence for me.
The piece is based on this legend. I am going to have two additional sessions to add koi and cherry blossoms to either side. Although I might do a koi on one side and a goldfish on the other. We'll see how asymmetrical I want to get.
And yes, as soon as it stops oozing, I will have a picture taken.
Despite my concerns of wussiness, I did not cry and I did not have to take the Vicodin I had stashed away -- I took an Aleve before the session. My legs twitched during the outline and some of the bottom color, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. Still, I'm glad I don't have to get it done again. :-)
