[Though the last time Tom invited some kids to the beach, he tortured them. But he'll play nice today.]

[He totally will. Draco cuts the feed and is navigating his way across the sands half an hour later, similarly dressed in dark pants and a collared shirt. Dark wizards are too cool for sunbathing.]

Tom has stood up by the time Draco is there and he holds up a finger to warn Draco to slow down. He has a snake before him, curled on the rocks. He is stock still.]
Don't move or startle it.

[Tom watches it carefully for a moment, his eyes dark. The snake stares at him for a moment before sliding back into the pool, placated and calm.
He pauses for a moment.]
You can come closer now. It won't strike.

He waves a hand dismissively in response to the question before starting on something entirely new.]
I'm going to take it home with me. The venom could be useful and modified in potion-making. [He glances down at the pool for a moment.] We have to make do with what we have, after all.
