[ To put it very simply, the little information leak has irked Mukuro slightly. In fact, the game is (or was) to see exactly how long it would take before Kakashi discovered a certain extent of his abilities- how much Gamma said, was left to be determined. This is what leads us to this tableau.
Mukuro leans back in his seat, chair, the trident set down on the table, next to his cup. And this, this is an added bonus, isn’t it? Uni of Giglio Nero as well as Gamma; two for the price of one. Tap, tap, tap.
He can almost see his reflection in the teacup, and turns away. It would be a wonder that Mukuro’s managed to ignore the tingly, somethingwatchingyou, sensation all this while, and still have the audacity to go around kidnapping people in this sort of atmosphere, but maybe he’s used to it.
There’s a quiet laugh that escapes from his mouth, and he turns to Uni. ] He’s very dedicated.
[ She knew from the beginning, that Mukuro was probably a man she should stay away from, many thanks to her gift of insight. When he had found her, she was alone (not counting her unicorn familiar), probably making it a piece of cake to do what he wanted.
A small scratch on the inside of her arm from the illusionist's trident stayed hidden beneath her snow white cloak. Uni's eyes were dull and empty-- completely lifeless. Like a puppet on strings, doing what the puppet master ordered, she lifted the tea periodically, sipping quietly without a word. The movements were mechanical-- and once Mukuro had laughed, the girl placed her cup of tea back against the table surface, delicately shifting her hands to her lap, empty gaze focused on nothing in particular. ]
[ Stupid stupid STUPID so stupid and it happened right under his nose, right when he was most off-balance and christ, this fucking city. Kakashi had warned him but he thought he'd have time.
He shouldn't have expected anything different, though. His karma liked to carry brass knuckles and keep hitting long after the struggles had stopped.
Forte hadn't been pleased about being told to stay outside, but Forte is never pleased by anything, and Gamma doesn't bother being sneaky about getting back into his own appropriated house. He kicks the door open instead, green fire from the Mare ring already crawling up his arm and both Volpi snarling on either side of him. Pauses for a long, long moment to take in this hideous domestic scene while one of the Volpi immediately trots to Uni's side and noses at her sleeve. Alive. Uninjured. ]
[ He lets out the smallest breath and finally turns to glare murderously at Mukuro. ]
[ Mukuro laughs, a long, delighted peal, completely unperturbed by Gamma. ] Hello. Won’t you take a seat?
[ There’s a hiss from the corner, the flamingo drawing one leg up, eyeing the Volpi. Following Gamma’s example, and taking a long pause, before Mukuro drums his fingers against the table thoughtfully. ] We were just talking about you, weren’t we?
[ RIGHT, right, where is Shouichi indeed. As a matter of fact, Irie Shouichi had been laughably easy to incapacitate, and even easier to throw in the closet with no little amount of bluntness to keep out of the way. ] He’s in the closet. I suspect he won’t be up to coming out anytime soon.
But that’s not what I called you here for.
[ His smile grows sickeningly sweet- it’s been a while since he’s had the opportunity to indulge in some creative exercise, and damn it all if Mukuro won’t draw this out as long as humanly possible. ]
[ In the closet. Well. At least it sounds like Mukuro's left him alive, which is a small mercy in this disaster parade. ]
I'll stand, thanks.
[ His ring flickers brightly as he watches Uni pour him tea, betraying the anxiety that is nowhere in his expression. This is just like before, when he'd let her go by herself, when he'd failed to protect her just as he'd failed to protect her mother. It's his fault this happened. It's his fault he allowed it to happen. ]
I would very much like to see you bleed. [ There’s a disturbing amount of cheerfulness in which that’s said, and Mukuro raises the trident, setting it on the table. ] And quite frankly, if you have any objections or make raise any objections to it-
[ He tosses the trident to Uni, willing her to catch it and possibly cut herself. ] I’m sure Uni of Giglio Nero will indulge me, won’t she? We’ve become rather close while you were out.
[ And he’s not messing around, you should know that. But then again, Gamma would do anything to keep her safe, wouldn’t he? ]
[ Just as he had willed her to catch the weapon, Uni did. The catch almost seemed automatic; she didn't blink, she didn't wince. Even when one of the sharp edges of the trident had managed to leave a cut across her cheek, Uni didn't budge, neither did she make a sound.
It wasn't long until a small bead of blood began to trickle down the soft flesh of her face, fingers curling around the metal that her hands were gripping tightly. ]
Where.

Quietly and carefully, she poured another cup of tea-- for herself and Gamma, then sitting back in her seat.
Quietly. Expression remaining as cold as ice. ]
