Brainwashed

So lately Noah and I have been watching Sprout (a preschool TV station) quite a bit, and they show The Wiggles a lot in the morning and noontime. Originally I didn't like the kind of music they played, but after watching them a lot I've started to like it quite a bit ^^;;. I even have a favorite...the blue one, Anthony. Because he loves to eat, and for some reason I find that endearing...I blame anime (I always liked the anime characters who pigged out all the time).

I don't think it helps that they have nice Australian accents. So nice~.

Also it was interesting to find out they made their start touring Westfield malls. My absolute favorite local malls are Westfield malls lol.

But I noticed that most of the shows on Sprout are Australian too, I wonder why that is. I mean of course there are several that are American, but most of them are Canadian, British or Australian. Not that I mind, I just wonder what's up with that.

Today we got Noah his first Transformer toy, it is a really simple one that transforms via gravity that batchix pointed out to me when we went to TRU together before, so anyway when you put it on it's feet it turns into the robot and when you put it on it's wheels it turns into the vehicle. We got him Optimus Prime first since he loves trucks (typical) but next time I want to get him my personal favorite, Bumblebee. He likes cars too so I think he won't mind :).

He also got a really sweet book about vehicles from the sale section at Borders, it is really cool and long for a board book. Noah looooooves it :).

The only non-truck item he got today was a Mickey Mouse toy that I thought was funny because he is dressed up like a rapper. He even comes with a boom box haha.

Don't worry I am not turning into one of those women whose entire identity is about their children, I just haven't done much recently. I haven't even been watching iCarly lately, but that's my bad, I keep forgetting to change the channel to Nickelodeon.

Today we were supposed to go to the flea market but I changed my mind because I didn't feel like it and lately the vintage Pyrex pickings have been way sparse. Not to mention Matt's parents were out of town this weekend so we'd have to lug Noah around which is not fun for any of us. Maybe next month.

I've been working on my resin a lot lately but for some reason lately it's been really frustrating and coming out kind of rubbery/sticky. And I've had issues with the sealant...not sealing. The resin will still soak through the paper, even though I have been waiting way over the 20 min. drying time after applying the sealant to apply the resin. Not to mention the bubbles when I put things in the resin...it's frustrating but at least I have some more resin to keep experimenting. I just really hope that some time soon I can produce something of a quality that I can post for sale so I can at least get started, sheesh!

I'd also like to try my hand at painting a bit, I can get everything but the paints themselves at Daiso at least. But I spent too much money on resin stuff (over what my mom helped anyways) so it'll have to wait a bit. I have a 40 percent off one item for until the 9th so maybe i can use that for some watercolors or something. I was thinking I could try to sell some postcards or something. Maybe. We'll see about that, but I really want to paint a bit no matter what.
