Writing on the train again, as has become habit. We arrived a little late to Kings Cross as both Pansy and I had huge amounts of luggage, plus chuckadonna to manage, and when we finally boarded the Hogwart's Express there were no empty cars left except for one way in the back, as far away from the Prefect's car as is possible, it seems. I am actually wondering if this car is reserved for "prefects who fell from grace" or something (unfairly, in my case), as the seats have been stripped of most of their upholstery and there are a lot of foul words inked on the walls (is that true about you Granger? I had no idea. Ew). Also, Creevey is the only other person in here, and he keeps throwing a red plastic plate at me. Arse. I plan to hang him from the luggage rack here in a minute.
Pansy and I have always done New Years Resolutions together. I remember that when I was nine mine was "I resolve to cut off all of Pansy's hair so that she looks like a chimpanzee". I wanted a chimpanzee for Christmas that year, you see, but I didn't receive one because my Mother thinks they are disgusting creatures with aspirations of being human--she says the same thing about certain types of wizards and witches as well, mind, and she really did have a point in both instances. When I was in fourth year, both Pansy and I were resolved to become prefects by fifth year. And we were. This year I only have one resolution, and it is that I am resolved to prove myself useful.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll do a decent enough job, Theodore.
