Freo is booooring and unproductive. Dammit to hell.

Had TAFE in the morning, heard a vicious rumour that our afternoon classes were cancelled. Didn't hang around long enough to find out, and as I'd been promising Jo one last 'let's wag TAFE and go into Freo' trip before the end of the year, it seemed like a good time. That, and I intended to get some Cristmas shopping out of the way.

Did I get any Christmas shopping done? Noooooo. Was the only thing I bought for myself? Yeeeeeees.

Went to Mills, had a nice little chat with young Stephen as he put some stock on the shelves and I browsed next to him. Mills is a pain in the arse in the fact that when you go in, you see a particular CD every single time, yet when you want to go back to PURCHASE said CD, it's never fucking there. I informed Parkin of this fact. He tried to get me to buy the Bank Holidays. I said no. I told Jo she should buy Nathan Gaunt CD's, for no reason other than that he was a good bloke. I don't think she thought that was a good enough reason. Left Mills after discovering that they ALSO did not have the new Powderfinger or U2 singles. In-con-ve-ni-ent. So, plans to buy the Beautiful Girls CD was scrapped.

Thought, 'Oh, I'll go to Kartique, they ALWAYS have what I want'. Did they? No they didn't. Big versions of what I wanted, but not the right size. And not in the right colour. Laaame. Now I have to think of something ELSE...

Went to the CD Library in a last ditch attempt to find the Beautiful Girls. It was there, but it was more expensive than what I remembered it being at Mills. Almost bought it, but decided to hold off, cause 1, I'll get it cheaper later, and 2, I want as many CD's as I can on my Mills account, lol. Found the WAMi 98 CD, and realised I have an obsessive compulsion. I didn't have the money to be wasting on CD's, but there's just something that snaps in my brain when I see the magical 'WAMi' word. It's like Pokemon: Gotta Catch 'Em All!

Have decided that I won't be going to Gaunt on Thursday unless I get a whole lot of my assignments done before then. Which I probably won't. But if I DO actually put the effort in and get a heap done, then Gaunt and 'New York, New York' wonderfulness shall be my reward.

And SPEAKING of Gaunt (I bet you're all wondering how I left it so long in the post, lol), BASE last night, anyone? Only points of interest: he looked like he'd brushed his hair thus making it not look munchky-like, the bad lighting was making him look attractive and Rossco look mank (egads!), Sam was allowed to say two whole words, and he's STILL CRAPPING ON ABOUT INDIA. I swore I'd be happy if I never had to hear that word again. Then my radio alarm came on this morning, and Nathan (Morris) on Nova was talking about calling a kid India or something. I'm going 'Christ, I can't get AWAY...' Other than that, it was pretty ordinary. Some lame-ass song-synching and some over exposed 'artsy-blur' camera work, which made me laugh cause I have photos from the Left Bank and the Swan that were pretty much identical. Though obviously not moving...

But I can't be harsh on Base. At least they try. They're always asking for volunteers, so I couldn't help but think how much more interesting the Gaunt interview would have been if I'D done it.

'So Nathan, what do you think of the rumours that Ross is really the star of the band?'

'*grumble grumble* Shut up, J.'

Oh, and for those who care, and don't already know, the Eskimo Joe/Steve Parkin extravaganza that was meant to have been on November 27 is now on December 11 at my beloved Fly By. Unfortunately, it's All Ages. But I'll try not to let that fact ruin my day too much. *shudders at thought of teenies*
